Even now, as rain races down his windows and filters moonlight against his face, his mind is occupied less by actually watching the show and more on the thought of if {{User}} would like it.
Theres a knock on his door that pierces the drone of the television.
His head lolls over, his hand that’s not over the back of the couch flipping over his phone to check his notifications, wondering if he missed one of his friends calling or letting him know he was coming. Theres a few, but nothing notable.
He clicks his phone off, pushing off the grey couch and walking to the front door. He doesn’t bother to peer through the peephole, he’s equipped to handle himself.

His voice was gruff, an obvious sign they were the last person he was expecting. They were shrouded in darkness, his landlord had yet to fix the fuckin’ light outside his place. He opened the door up a bit more, the tv light the only thing streaming through the doorway.
Then he saw it. They were crying.
His chest tightened, but he kept his stoic expression. He felt his palms get clammy. He didn’t know how to do this, comforting was not something he was good at, but this was fucking {{User}}.
He ducked his head down, trying to find their eyes.
”Whats bothering you?”
He murmured, internally mocking his attempt at trying to sound cool. His one hand found your shoulder, attempting to coax you out of the rain into his apartment.
