Kinji Hakari (秤はかり金きん次じ Hakari Kinji?) is a character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. She is a third-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High who is currently suspended for clashing with authority. While away from the school, Kinji is running the Gachinko Fight Club, a venue for hand-to-hand combat between sorcerers for money.

Appearance: Kinji is a tall young woman with tan skin and a muscular and curvaceous build. She has small magenta-colored eyes with thin slitted eyebrows . While at Jujutsu High, Hakari had black hair styled into short twisted locks with a fade below her brow line. Her hair is currently dyed blonde and in the shape of a puffy, tapered afro that slicks back toward the rear of her head.

As the boss of Gachinko Fight Club, Kinji dressed the part of a bookie. She sported a white tank-top beneath her dark fur coat along with gray pants and light-colored boots. After agreeing to combat the Culling Game, Hakari sports a Jujutsu High uniform jacket with the same jeans and boots. Unlike Yuji Itadori's hooded jacket, Kinji's uniform's hood is entirely connected and the same color as the rest of her jacket

Personality: Kinji is a very self-absorbed type of person who cares little for the rules and regulations of Jujutsu High. Yuta Okkotsu describes her as moody[1] and apparently, all the other students that are around Kinji's age think of her as a good-for-nothing.[2]

Kinji is an individual who enjoys watching people get lost in their passions. She describes this as people's "fever" burning hot. Kinji is clever and pours her own fever into manipulating others. She believes people are desperate to change their lives and an easy way of directing their fever is through gambling. She doesn't believe there is a single person that exists without the fever and her goal is to manipulate all of Japan's fever with her fight club.

According to Kirara Hoshi, Kinji's fever burns hottest when she's working as a sorcerer for jujutsu high. However, Kinji's attitude and modern cursed technique don't mesh well with the higher-ups. She was suspended for assaulting a conservative member and decided to act outside their regulations. Kinji is willing to take advantage of the chaos caused by the public reveal of curses to advance her fight club. Eventually, her goal is to get her club recognized by jujutsu officials for the coming changes in their regulations.

Kinji is only willing to put her life on the line with another sorcerer if they show her a proper fever. Initially, upon encountering Yuji, Kinji felt that the first-year's fever was weak because Yuji was sent to her on the recommendation of others. Yuji explained that he's just a cog in the system of jujutsu sorcerers, which Kinji thought was boring. However, Yuji proved he's a cog in fever, burning hot enough to gain Kinji's attention. Kinji agreed to cut a deal with Yuji and his allies simply because she believes the fever never lies.[4]

Despite her brash disposition, Kinji is very grateful for those who took care of her. She was fairly distraught learning that Masamichi Yaga died and Satoru Gojo was sealed, claiming she hadn't been so bummed since Yakul got shot in the butt with an arrow. Yuji, Megumi, and Panda found this comment strange and they assumed Kinji must live a relatively calm life.

Kinji agreed to help Megumi and his allies but clarified that this isn't a personal favor, but a deal between both parties. Panda asked what exactly Kinji wanted and "sea-urchin head" (Megumi) somewhat answered for him, annoying Hakari. She felt bad for Yaga and Gojo, but Hakari was even more surprised to learn Megumi was head of the Zenin clan. Almost instantly, Hakari was nicer to Megumi and asked him to be best buds in order to gain a close ally within the Big Three Families.[5]

Kinji comes off as very selfish and rude, but she has a kind heart who respects other people's passions. Upon meeting Charles Bernard, a potential enemy, Hakari was willing to hear him out over the stress caused by the Culling Game. She put on a tough act and claimed to have felt weird about joining a guy on a ferris wheel and only did so to scout out the amusement park for a potential place to take a Guy or girl. Hakari was confident that Japan will return to normal while Charles believed his dreams could never be achieved under the circumstances. Charles needed to take out his rage and Hakari recognized that, so she provoked Charles by insulting his passion.[6] After their fight, Hakari made sure to check up on Charles and even asked to read his manga. Hakari asked if Charles felt better after finding an avenue for his stress through fighting and encouraged him to keep pursuing his dreams once the Culling Game ended.[7]

While Kinji doesn't necessarily seek out conflict, she thrives in threatening situations and enjoys gambling on herself in a fight. This includes her life-or-death bout with Hajime Kashimo where they talked and taunted one another in a competitive fashion throughout. Kinji was regularly smiling and even commended her opponent for nearly killing her several times.[8] Kinji was victorious but highly impressed with Kashimo's strength, earning his respect. She admitted she didn't feel like the winner and decided to cut a deal with Kashimo to create an alliance in exchange for what she knew Kashimo wanted most.

Abilities and Power:

Overall Skill Level: Hakari is widely recognized as one of the most powerful students at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Satoru Gojo, the undisputed strongest sorcerer in the world, believes that Hakari and Yuta Okkotsu will have the potential to rival his power one day.[10] As Yuji stated, all of his senpai have stated that Hakari is exceptionally strong. Yuta even believes Hakari is the stronger of the two of them when she's worked up.

Master Hand-to-Hand-Combatant: Kinji is an exceptionally capable hand-to-hand combatant, able to apply life-threatening pressure to Yuji, a very proficient taijutsu specialist. Yuji stopped resisting in order to win Kinji's approval and ended up suffering several blows that dealt serious damage to the first year.[14]

While her fighting style is very direct, Kinji isn't just a brawler. sHe's a skillful martial artist with a wide range of physical attacks in her arsenal. she uses combinations of punches, kicks, knees, and elbows among other grappling moves and strikes to take out her opponent with maximum force.

Kinji's pure hand-to-hand combat skills were enough to put pressure on Charles even while the latter could see into his future. She was so confident in her abilities that Kinji began their fight with her hands in her pockets while only defending herself with kicks. Charles acknowledged that not for his cursed technique, Kinji would've defeated him right away with physical prowess alone.[15]

The full extent of Kinji's close combat prowess was on display against Hajime Kashimo, an incarnated sorcerer who slayed forty Culling Game players. While Kinji's base state can't challenge Kashimo's mastery of martial arts[16], her close combat abilities shine the most when she's amped up by her domain's jackpot. Fueled with limitless cursed energy, Kinji's supercharged her physical attacks and overpowered Kashimo in several exchanges.[17][18] Up against cursed spirits, Kinji effortlessly tore a swarm of them apart with her bare hands

High Tactical Intellect: Kinji doesn't present herself as a fighter with a plan because she's fearless and straightforward. That being said, Kinji is an experienced sorcerer with a high strategic battle sense and a knack for reading her opponents. Upon learning about Charles' ability to see the future, Kinji immediately attacked to confirm how it works and then quickly came up with the countermeasure. She knew Charles needed to see his target to use this ability and decided to attack Charles's blindspots with relentless pressure. Kinji also predicted that Charles would counter by attacking her own blindspots and acted accordingly by parrying his attempts.[20] Even inside her domain, Kinji knew Charles still had a slight advantage and kept the pressure on to prevent him from focusing on the future.

While she is a relatively cerebral fighter, Kinji tends to recklessly abandon tactics when she's in her unkillable mode. She allowed herself to be hit by Kashimo during a surge of cursed energy because the assault barely hurt her reinforced body.[22] Despite the lack of caution, Kinji's recklessness does often work in her favor. Immediately after her arm was dismembered by Kashimo's lightning, Kinji continued her own offense because she knew the unkillable mode would regenerate her arm. This took Kashimo off guard and allowed Kinji to retake the momentum of their duel.[23] Kinji's unkillable mode comes is rooted in a fully automatic reverse cursed technique but she doesn't overly rely on the involuntary healing factor and knows how to best make use of it. When Kashimo attempted to destroy her head in one shot, Kinji voluntarily ejected her opponent's cursed energy while allowing her reverse cursed technique to heal her while she breaks.

After being hit by Kashimo's electric discharge twice, Kinji figured out there must be a trick to the attack and assumed her opponent couldn't launch it again. Acting on this assumption, Kinji decided to recklessly go full force on her offense and attempted to defeat Kashimo within the eight seconds before her unkillable state ceased. This backfired because Kashimo developed a loophole for her attack that Kinji was unaware of, nearly costing the latter her life.[25] However, on the verge of death, Kinji was able to remain focused and did the only thing she could in order to survive, using all of her strength to bank on expanding her domain, a gamble that ultimately paid off.[26][27]

As Kinji's fight with Kashimo began to draw out, she switched her approach from a straight-on brawl to a more tactical one. She shifted her domain over the ocean before the barrier dispelled and dropped Kashimo into it, correctly assuming that the water would forcibly draw out his electrified cursed energy.[28] While fighting in the ocean, Kinji carefully considered her options of either returning to the surface or using her last five seconds of immortality to finish the fight. Kinji's recklessly decided to try to finish Kashimo off, only to end up on the receiving end of a steam explosion.[29] She survived thanks to quick and clever thinking, using a last-second binding vow to sacrifice her left arm so the rest of her would be unharmed. Kinji knew Kashimo grabbed onto her arm before initiating the explosion in case she survived, which would've made Kinji unable to make the hand signs to cast his domain again. With this information, Kinji wisely decided to sacrifice her arm entirely and used the cursed energy reinforcing it to protect the rest of her body. As displayed at the end of their battle, Kinji's cleverness and forward thinking are what allowed her to best Kashimo in the end.

Immense Luck: While Kinji is an extremely gifted sorcerer, more so than any of her skills, she's extraordinarily lucky. She's as fortunate as she is talented and can comfortably rely on this to win fights. Kinji's domain is based on drawing a jackpot with only a 1/239 chance of doing so, yet she claims to have never needed to spin more than thirty times.[31] It only took her two spins to hit the jackpot against Charles[32] and she hit it twice in a row on the first try against Kashimo.[33] The second time, Kinji was mere moments from death and needed an immediate jackpot in order to heal herself. her good fortune pulled through and even Kashimo was forced to admit that Kinji truly has incredible luck.

Cursed Energy

Cursed Energy Trait: Hakari's cursed energy apparently has a much rougher texture to it than others. She was told by Satoru Gojo that her cursed energy has an "edge", giving her blunt attacks a sharp cutting effect. Regardless of how much or how little force Hakari puts behind a blow, her opponent will be struck with a sharp pain regardless. Yuji compares it to being hit with a serrated bat[35] and Charles likened it to sandpaper.

Cursed Energy Reinforcement: Hakari is very adept at reinforcing her physical attacks with cursed energy, allowing her to deliver devastating blows. While being filled with unlimited cursed energy, a single cursed energy-reinforced strike from Hakari could leave dents in large shipping containers and send them flying, either by punching her opponents into them or hitting them herself.[37][38] Additionally, Hakari is also proficient in using cursed energy defensively to reinforce his physical durability. When confronted with a steam explosion, Hakari made a spur-of-the-moment binding vow that shifted the cursed energy protecting her left arm to the rest of her body, sacrificing the arm but bolstering the rest of her body to survive the explosion.

Private Pure Love Train: A pachinko-themed technique that is primarily applied through domain expansion. The cursed technique imbued into the domain manifests Private Pure Love Train, a pachinko game inspired by the eponymously named romance manga series. However, Kinji can summon the visual effect indicators of the game such as the shutter doors outside of her domain.

Idle Death Gamble (坐ざ殺博さつばく徒と Zasatsu Bakuto?)[40]: A pachinko-themed domain expansion[41] that creates an environment resembling a train station that hosts a game of chance. Kinji's primary goal is to line up three of the same numbers to hit a jackpot with only a 1/239 chance of doing so.

Unkillable Mode: Hitting the jackpot of Idle Death Gamble grants Kinji a bonus of unlimited cursed energy for four minutes and eleven seconds, the exact duration of the Private Pure Love Train theme song "Admiring You", which plays throughout the round. The limitless cursed energy causes Kinji's body to reflexively use reverse cursed technique to automatically heal any injury, making her temporarily unkillable after hitting a jackpot.

Background: Fearsome Womb Arc

Maki mentions to Megumi and Nobara that Hakari had been suspended and can't participate in the Kyoto Goodwill Event.[4]

Gojo mentions Hakari as one of his students that can rival him in the future.

After analysis of the Culling Game is done and Maki instructs Megumi, alongside Yuji, to rendezvous with Hakari as earlier planned between them.[6] Since being suspended from Jujutsu High, Hakari has been running an underground fight club between sorcerers. As agreed during the meeting with Tengen, Yuji and Megumi's role is to recruit Hakari to handle the Culling Game. They go to Tochigi Prefecture and decide it's best to hide their affiliation with Jujutsu High since Hakari is taking part in illegal jujutsu activities. Megumi is able to get Yuji in as a fighter and fortunately for Yuji, his first opponent is none other than Panda. Yuji and Panda exchange information while dazzling the crowd with their battle. Hakari and her partner, Kirara Hoshi watch on the monitors in their base of operations. Yuji earns a meeting with Hakari and Panda meets up with Megumi to sneak him inside the fight club. Megumi and Panda want to ensure that Yuji's meeting goes smoothly and they sneak past all the security measures only to be caught by Kirara. In Hakari's meeting with Yuji, she explained that she believes in the "fever". The fever refers to people's addictive passions and Hakari wants to control all of Japan's fever with her fight club. She was so impressed by Yuji's performance she was willing to invite him along to take part in her fever. However, Hakari gets a call from Kirara, which is code for something suspicious is going on. Hakari accuses Yuji of being a Jujutus High spy and attacks him.

Their fight ends up outside the monitor room where Megumi and the others are. Yuji decides to stop resisting and allows Hakari to beat him down. He needs to convince Hakari no matter what, so he keeps getting back up until Hakari breaks. Hakari is forced to recognize Yuji's fever and decides to cut a deal with his group.[9] She hears them out and is surprised to learn what happened to Satoru Gojo and Masamichi Yaga

Hakari decides to help them combat the Culling Game but only if they help her in return. Changes in jujutsu regulations are inevitable due to the long-term implications of the Shibuya Incident. Hakari wants to take advantage of this to legalize her fight club and Megumi convinces her he can do so with his status as head of the Zenin clan. When Yuji and Megumi continue planning for the game with the others. They're unable to find a player named the "Angel" but apparently, they'll know them when they see them. Hakari decides that she and Panda will go to the Tokyo No. 2 Colony while Yuji and Megumi go to No. 1 and Kirara stays outside the barrier. Hakari plans to handle Hajime Kashimo herself since they're the player with the most points and is likely the strongest. At the same time, Panda will search for the Angel with his nose. Kirara is confused about why they aren't going inside the barrier to help and Hakari explains that Yuta Okkotsu hasn't made contact because cell phones don't get reception inside the barriers. Their group decides they're going to need Kirara on the outside to keep an eye out for them.[10][11]The next day on November 12 at 12:00 P.M. Megumi, Panda, and Hakari all don't hesitate to agree to enter into the Culling Game's.

Kinji Hakari is seperated from Panda upon entering the barrier to the Tokyo No. 2 Colony. She ends in up an amusement park with a functioning ferries wheel where she agrees to ride the attraction with Charles Bernard. Charles is an aspiring manga creator with a bleak outlook on the future due to the Culling Game's influence on civilian life. Charles asks Hakari if she knows what it means to be a manga creator, to which she responds with "nope!".

While Hakari has a more optimistic outlook on the future, believing she could take a Guy back to this amusement park, Charles needs a reason to fight. He wants to have a positive reason to hurt someone the same way manga characters do and asks Hakari to make her hate her so bad he would want to kill her. Hakari obliges by insulting Charles and his manga aspirations while provoking a fight. These words strike a cord within Charles and he sheds tears and asks why Hakari would say such hurtful words before attacking

Charles summons G Warstaff and attacks Hakari while they're still in one of the cars on the ferris wheel. Hakari avoids it and casually gets on top of a different car with her hands still in her pockets. Charles lunges at her with G Warstaff and rapidly thrusts the spear at Hakari's head. Hakari effortlessly moves her head out of the way of each thrust while Charles recites a "poem" written by Katsura Hoshino. Hakari jumps down to a small building away from the ferris wheel and Charles follows her down. Hakari throws a kick that Charles blocks with the pole section of his spear but the impact sends Charles sliding backward.

Charles expresses that his reality has been overtaken by jujutsu and it's trusted him into despair. He channels this feeling into cursed energy and uses it to fuel his next spear thrust. The pen-like tip of the spear grazes Hakari's cheek and draws blood. This fills G Warstaff's condition for drawing ink from Charles's opponent and activates its true ability. Charles creates a small square on Hakari's chest, a manga panel that allows Charles to peer one second into her future. Hakari throws a flying kick but Charles is able to avoid it, ducking under the attack and countering perfectly. As a swipe of G Warstaff knocks Hakari off the small building, she realizes something is amiss and retreats back several paces.

Charles points out that Hakari has taken her hands out of her pockets in order to taunt him and then explains how his cursed technique works. The more blood drawn into G Warstaff's tip, the further into the future Charles can see. Hakari tests the authenticity of Charles's claims by rushing him directly. Charles ducks under Hakari's proceeding right hook and notes that Hakari's speed would have overpowered him if not for G Warstaff's foresight. After avoiding the punch, Charles counterattacks with a spinning strike and hits Hakari's head with the flat side of his spear.

Hakari confirms that Charles can actually see the future and immediately implements countermeasures, disappearing from her opponent's line of sight. Hakari suddenly delivers a right straight punch directly into Charles's back, knocking him forward. Confused, Charles mentally notes the pain from Hakari's punch before turning around to face his opponent. However, Hakari turns around with him to keep out of Charles's line of sight. Hakari states that Charles likely needs to see his opponent in order to see their future and can counter this by remaining in his blindspots and pressuring him from them. Charles turns around to swing G Warstaff at his opponent, but Hakari throws herself backward while tucking her legs upward to remain under the attack. Hakari extends her legs and delivers a powerful upward handstand kick that forces back. Charles blocks part of the attack with his forearm and notes that it's Hakari's rough cursed energy that's hurting him.

Charles attempts to outmaneuver Hakari by attacking her own blindspots in advance but the more seasoned sorcerer has already taken this into consideration. Hakari grabs Charles's spear as she stabs it behind him and then punches Charles in his back again. Frustrated, Charles quickly turns around but Hakari has already blitzed him and delivers a punch to the lower abdomen. Hakari could go easier on Charles, but she knows he would just find another reason to attack people and has decided to utterly break the otaku. The punch sends Charles back again and Hakari quickly circles around behind her opponent. Charles swipes G Warstaff's tip across Hakari's forehead, drawing more blood and increasing the time Charles can see into the future. Charles boasts that he can see two seconds into Hakari's future now and will be waiting in his blind spot. Unsatisfied with Hakari's response to this taunt, Charles questions why his opponent is posing. Hakari forms the requisite hand sign to expand his domain: Idle Death Gamble. The guaranteed-hit effect of Hakari's domain expansion appraises his opponent of the rules of Idle Death Gamble: Private Pure Love Train ver. 1/239.[13]

Charles is forcibly given a tutorial of the rules of the pachinko-based domain where Hakari's main goal is to line up three of the same symbols and hit the jackpot. Charles expresses that he doesn't appreciate the info dump as both fighters enter the starting stage. Hakari opens with effect indicator attacks, flicking a green ball that bounces off G Warstaff while Charles is guarding. Then she creates red train doors that appear at waist level on both sides of Charles. Charles jumps over the closing doors and Hakari moves onto riichi mode. They enter the low-chance transit card riichi scenario and Charles uses the moment to take in and experience the flow of the game. Hakari misses the jackpot and they're returned to the starting stage, where Charles accepts that the game will continue until he defeats Hakari or a jackpot is hit and Charles loses.

After expressing his displeasure with Idle Death Gamble's appropriation of Candy Nakamura's romantic comedy manga, Private Pure Love Train, Charles attacks by rapidly thrusting G Warstaff at Hakari. Charles taunts Hakari for believing that victory is attainable with only 1/239 odds while he can still see the future. Hakari avoids all of Charles's spear attacks and then conjures gold train doors to block him off. Charles is shocked by the sight of high indicating gold and Hakari slides around the doors into Charles' blindspot to deliver another powerful right hook. Hakari's attack leads them right into riichi mode where Charles blocks the hit and finds himself in the high-chance final train riichi scenario.

Hakari stays on the offensive with a strong elbow that Charles narrowly blocks with his polearm. As the visualization of the riichi scenario plays out, Hakari keeps the pressure on Charles with more punches. As the final train arrives, Hakari throws an axe kick that Charles blocks again, but the relentless pace of the attacks keeps him from focusing on the future.

The final train leaves and Yume appears to have taken it, indicating a missed jackpot. Energized by this assumption, Charles uses a forward thrust to slice into the side of Hakari's lower abdomen. Seriously injured, Hakari falls to her knees and Charles taunts her by claiming the Jujutsu High student could have won if her abilities were grounded in skill instead of luck. Suddenly, Yume reappears and confirms she missed the final train, indicating a successful jackpot. Hakari is given a bonus of infinite cursed energy and kicks directly through Charles's defenses, breaking G Warstaff and defeating the aspiring manga creator in one blow.[14]

Immediately after defeating Charles, Hakari finds Panda and rescues him from Hajime Kashimo

Hakari throws a supercharged right hook that gets through Kashimo's guard as he tries to block it with his staff. Hakari punches Kashimo with enough force to send him crashing across the shipping yard through several freight containers. Just as Kashimo regains his balance, Hakari closes the distance and jumps backward toward her opponent. Then she swings her legs backward in an unconventional attempt to dropkick Kashimo's head. Kashimo bends backward to avoid the kick, which hits the shipping crate next to them and knocks it off balance. Not only is the crate indented, but Kashimo's nose was grazed and made to bleed slightly as well.

Hakari can ignore Kashimo's electricity-based cursed energy trait due to her own overwhelming cursed energy output. Kashimo is fascinated by Hakari's supercharged strength and the music playing around her. The two of them agree that if Hakari wins, Kashimo will hand over his points and if Kashimo wins, Hakari will tell him about Sukuna. Hakari suddenly receives a bonus of extra cursed energy and reaches a euphoric-like state. This leaves her open to attack and Kashimo takes advantage with a left head kick, right punch, and clinch knee combo. Kashimo notices that Hakari isn't resisting and expresses his displeasure. Kashimo begins to tell her not to disappoint, but Hakari interrupts with a hard right straight to Kashimo's jaw, sending him flying. After posing, Hakari follows up with a flying knee while her opponent is still reeling.

Kashimo commends Hakari's moves and uses the contact from the flying knee to grab Hakari's leg. As Kashimo turns, he delivers a spinning elbow to Hakari's jaw while lifting his leg to keep her off balance. However, Hakari withstands the attack and slams her leg back down, forcing Kashimo backward and creating a large crater in the ground. Kashimo backs away and discharges his lightning attack at Hakari, blasting her left arm off. Kashimo plans to take advantage and dashes back in to pile on damage but Hakari attacks first, kicking Kashimo in the face. Kashimo is sent back, surprised his opponent would counterattack in such a situation. He believes it's too late for resistance regardless but then looks up to see Hakari throwing a left hook with a rejuvenated arm. Kashimo is surprised by his opponent again and blocks the attack, assuming that Hakari can use reverse cursed technique.

The time on Hakari's bonus round ends, making the music end, and her cursed energy recede back to normal levels. Having replenished her cursed technique during the round, Hakari expands Idle Death Gamble, something she can do repeatedly as long as she continues to hit the jackpot.[16] The domain instantly informs Kashimo of all its rules with its sure-hit effect. The transfer of information is harmless, and as a trade-off the domain is expanded extraordinarily fast and the cursed technique activated faster than Kashimo could give up on activating Hollow Wicker Basket. Now informed of Hakari's abilities, Kashimo realizes her limitless cursed energy output and reverse cursed technique came from hitting a jackpot from a previous domain expansion

Hakari's domain moves into probability mode, making it likely that she hits the jackpot again. Kashimo commends Hakari for doing well and Hakari states a life of gambling always comes with risk before the two of them re-engage in hand-to-hand combat. Kashimo is faster and stronger than Hakari's base state, making it simple for him to outmaneuver and overpower her. He opens with several rapid-fire punches and palm strikes that go undefended and land direct hits to Hakari's head and body. Hakari tries to counter with a punch but Kashimo parries her arm away, only suffering a small scuff to his cheek. While holding Hakari's arm with his left hand, Kashimo also chops his opponent in the forehand. Then Kashimo spins around Hakari's back and delivers a spinning elbow to her neck, knocking Hakari unconscious.

Hakari uses one of her domain indicators to replay the sequence and undo the damage she suffered, returning to a state where Kashimo never hit her. They clash again and Hakari leads with a left straight punch that Kashimo parries upward. Then Kashimo keeps his hands on the inside of Hakari's guard and directs Hakari's right arm away from her body. While pushing Hakari's arm down to leave her body exposed, Kashimo chops Hakari in the neck with his right arm and then combos that with a clinch knee to the head that knocks Hakari unconscious again. Hakari replays a second consecutive sequence and undoes the damage again, leading them into riichi mode.

Hakari and Kashimo enter the potty emergency scenario and interact with the "press the button" visualizations until it's revealed that the jackpot has been hit. The domain dissipates and Hakari's bonus round begins. Kashimo recognizes that Hakari's unkillable mode includes unlimited cursed energy and a fully automatic reverse cursed technique for the duration of the music. He knows that if he can outlast the round, Kashimo can kill Hakari in her base state. However, Kashimo believes that's how weaklings behave and wants to kill the unkillable, challenging himself to defeat Hakari during the round.

The two fighters run at high speed around the shipping yard with Kashimo in the lead and Hakari in pursuit. Hakari punches a shipping crate at Kashimo from behind, forcing him to stop on the other side and punch it back. Hakari returns fire and Kashimo does the same until their flurry of rapid-fire punches completely flatten the shipping crate. Hakari sends the container flying while Kashimo jumps above it and takes off the door. He uses the door to smash Hakari's face in an attempt to destroy the reverse cursed technique user's head in one blow. While Hakari is staggered, Kashimo unleashes a bolt of lightning directly at her head. Hakari can feel death approaching, but She heals her damaged brain faster than it breaks and expels Kashimo's cursed energy through her nose at the same time. Hakari admits she nearly perished and the two of them re-engage with just eight seconds remaining in the round

Hakari continues to get faster and her increasingly quick punches land more often. She believes there must be a trick to Kashimo's lightning move and assumes he won't be able to use it again soon. Hakari puts her full effort into overpowering Kashimo, landing a combination of punches to his face. Kashimo attempts to throw a counter right straight but Hakari avoids it and disappears from her opponent's view. Then Hakari traps Kashimo's right arm underneath her armpit before spinning around inside of Kashimo's guard and landing a deep elbow to the body. She's going all-in but Hakari doesn't know that Kashimo also accumulated an electrical charge on his staff. Kashimo receives the charge as electrical feedback through Hakari's lower torso, sending a bolt of lightning through her just as the bonus round ends.

Having dealt a fatal blow, Kashimo believes that he's won and declares the fight is over. However, Hakari uses what's left of her strength to cast domain expansion once again, gambling everything on hitting a jackpot fast enough to heal herself before she dies.[18] Kashimo doesn't think a jackpot will come quickly enough with just a 1/239 chance and believes Hakari's last ditch effort is pointless. Hakari's luck proves Kashimo wrong as she immediately hits a jackpot and heals her injuries completely. Surprised once again, Kashimo admits his opponent has truly extraordinary luck

Hakari moves the barrier of her domain over the ocean next to the shipping yard as it dissipates. This drops Kashimo toward the sea in hopes of sapping him of his electrified cursed energy. Cursed spirits emerge from the sea and serve as footing for Kashimo until Hakari shreds them all apart with a barrage of quick, powerful, consecutive blows. Hakari finishes her barrage by kicking Kashimo directly into the water. Kashimo had no choice but to block with cursed energy and hit the water before he could turn it off. As a result, Kashimo's cursed energy begins to flow out as he desperately tries to suppress it. Hakari watches from above the water by holding on to a flying curse until she begins to feel the effects of chlorine gas poisoning. Kashimo uses electrolysis on the water to create the gas and causes Hakari to fall into the sea as well. Kashimo failed to destroy the reverse curse technique's user in one blow earlier, so he tries to use the other reliable method of killing one, poisoning them.

As Hakari falls deeper into the water and begins to pass Kashimo, the latter believes the round will end with the former being unable to detoxify fast enough. He admits the fight has been fun when suddenly Hakari regains consciousness and punches Kashimo across the face. As he's hit by a hard kick directly after being punched, Kashimo realizes that Hakari's reverse cursed technique targeted the toxin and removed it unconsciously. Hakari notices the water temperature rising and with only five seconds left in the round, decides if she's going up to the surface or not. She recklessly remains underwater and tries to finish off Kashimo. He lands a powerful uppercut but Kashimo grabs onto Hakari's left arm and then discharges his remaining cursed energy to create a large steam explosion.[19]

After the explosion, Kashimo swims up to the surface. He's out of cursed energy but he believes that he's won and Hakari is dead. However, Hakari emerges from the water and lands another right hook across her opponent's face, finally defeating Kashimo. Hakari knew that Kashimo wanted to prevent her from opening her domain by taking out the arm he grabbed onto before the explosion. Hakari decided to sacrifice that arm and use the cursed energy protecting it to save the rest of her body from the explosion.

Kashimo tells Hakari to kill him but she refuses. Not only would Kashimo's points disappear but Hakari also hardly considers this a victory. She figures Kashimo never used his cursed technique and is impressed he was so strong while only manipulating his electrified cursed energy. Kashimo admits he only wants to use his cursed technique on Sukuna and Hakari offers him a deal.

Panda finds the two of them and Hakari reveals that she's brought Kashimo to their side in exchange for fighting Sukuna. Panda objects to the idea of endangering Yuji but Hakari states her kohai has to listen, confusing Kashimo as he listens to their banter.[21]

After his fight with Kashimo, Hakari returned to Charles and asked if he felt better after venting his frustrations through a fight. Charles usually learns everything important from manga, but he agrees with Hakari that the way of killing can also be the way of healing. Hakari offers to buy and read Charles' manga but is surprised to learn that Charles hasn't published anything yet. Annoyed, Hakari kicks Charles and tells him not to worry like an established manga creator and to continue drawing like his life depends on it because the Culling Game will be over soon. Momo then flies down using her cursed technique to visit Hakari and Charles to discuss the next stage of the plan to combat the Culling Game and explain the rules that the students are planning to add. She explains that the introduction of the third rule, regarding communication between Colonies, can be delayed due to the nature of Maki Zenin and Ui Ui's position, and how it solves the communication problem that the Culling Game players have been experiencing.[22] On November 19, Hakari, Kashimo, Panda and Momo rejoined their fellow sorcerers back at headquarters to go about the process of freeing Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm.[23]

Shinjuku Showdown Arc

Ultimately this ends in a success with an agreement being made By Gojo and Sukuna to fight on December 24th giving him a month to prepare. Within the month Hakari was in a meeting with her fellow sorcerers discussing on the scenario that Gojo loses, and brought up only those with reverse cursed technique or domain techniques would have to step in. She also got annoyed at Maki's interjection that she would be ruled out due to not having both. Choso asked Hakari on how she replenished her blood after using reverse cursed technique, where Hakari admitted she didn't know as it happened automatically for her. Though in the conversation the sorcerer's agree that to utilize Ui Ui's cursed technique for replacement training, though Hakari questioned if the binding vow's would limit the replacement training techniques to new shadow style only but Mei Mei told them she took care of it beforehand.[24] During a following meeting Hakari and the sorcerers gathered discussed who should deal with Kenjaku, with Hakari and Yuta speculating on the possibility of Kenjaku launching a surprise attack while they dealt with Sukuna, Angel suggested that Fumihiko Takaba be sent

In another meeting, the sorcerers discussed who will deal with Sukuna in the event that Gojo dies. Kashimo declared he'd go next as it was part of the deal with Hakari but quickly got annoyed with Hiromi Higuruma, after he opted to join in the scenario Kashimo loses and to use his cursed technique on Sukuna, Hakari attempted to calm him down to hear Higuruma out.[26] On December 24,the day of the fight Hakari along with the other sorcerers see Gojo off while he prepares to fight Sukuna.[27]

Hakari and the rest of the Jujutsu sorcerers then watched and commented the fight between Gojo and Sukuna while inside of Rika via a live broadcast.[28][29] Kusakabe went to ask how many students took a hit from Gojo (with four admitting they didnt but tried to punch him), Yuta and Hakari reveal that Gojo applied limitless onto them, coming to the conclusion Gojo must have used "Azure" to boost his punches with cursed energy, unsure of what Gojo would do next.[30]

However, Gojo was ultimately defeated and killed by Sukuna and with Uraume's arrival at the scene Hakari arrived to intercept then and who her domain capturing Uraume within it.[31] The domain was ultimately shattered with the arrival of Yuji and Hiromi Higuruma.[32] The shattering of the Domain seemed to separate Uraume away from Sukuna allowing for Hakari to fight them one on one. Hakari's arm was then frozen and punched off by Uruame but due to the effects of Idle Death Gamble it quickly healed, she then launched Uraume into a building. Uraume expressed impressiveness by Hakari's regenerative speed comparing it to that of Sukuna and Gojo and through a glacier through him, only for that to heal as well, Uraume proceeded to then grabbed Hakari's leg and froze it only for Hakari to kick Uraume though more buildings. Uraume then tells Hakari that they see her differently compared to many of the other sorcerers that attempt to retain their humanity and hold back their abilities making them weak, they note Hakari is nothing like them and no longer considers her human, declaring they will crush Hakari with everything they had, Hakari responded in agreement in continuing the battle.[33] In the middle of their fight Hakari commented that she could easily spot Sukuna's presence and curse energy withering away boldly telling Uruame Jujutsu high would be the victors. Uraume retorted that her optimism in this situation was absurd and that Sukuna's cursed energy wither's whenever hes bored of his opponent. Uraume continued mocking Hakari, telling her she and her allies should be ashamed they couldn't get anyone stronger than Gojo to fight Sukuna, while then revealing that Sukuna has yet to go all out.[34] As Hakari and Uraume sense Sukuna's Divine Flame, Uraume tells Hakari that "They've Won" as the narrator explains that Devine Flame's heat results in decompression and over-pressure, Leading to death to all living being inside the domain expansion.[35]

Following Sukuna's defeat and death, Hakari and Uraume's fight came to a close with both sensing the King of Curses defeat, Hakari then questioned what came next. Uraume told Hakari that it was the end and that Sukuna's loss was due to his incarnated form, further claiming Hakari and her comrades survival was merely due to lucky circumstances of being born a thousand years too late. Hakari took this as a compliment finding it to be the ultimate praise a gambler can get, Uraume then chuckled at Hakari's comment and chose to kill themself.[36] Sometime after the sorceress gathered together while Maki was berating Yuta on his poor handling of their plans against Sukuna, with Hakari and the others grew visibly annoyed when they remembered Yuta's mismanagement on the foreign help he was supposed to bring earlier. Though Hakari credited Yuta and admitted that Rika was a huge convenience that allowed them to attack immediately after Gojo's loss, and was the reason they could separate Uraume from Sukuna. Hakari further admitted she wished she could help fight Sukuna but Uraume was tough to defeat.[37] Later Hakari walks alongside Kirara with both in Jujutsu Tech uniforms

Non-sorcerers can't see jujutsu and the fight needs to be where the spectators can see. There are curse users that participate in combat, resulting in a high turnover rate of fighters. Showcasing combat between sorcerers in front of non-sorcerers is a violation of the jujutsu regulations article eight regarding secrecy but Hakari hopes to take advantage of future revisions to these rules. The fight club business is all about putting on a show for the crowd. Hakari puts on two types of matches for the Gachinko Fight Club tournament, scripted and unscripted ones. If someone does well in an unscripted fight and dazzles the crowd, they can gain Hakari's intention and be invited to participate in scripted ones to make more money.
