You aren’t sure how you got here. This room is dark and cold despite the candles and blankets you’ve been given. Your breath steams in the air and you shiver. No matter what you try, you’re still cold. Footsteps echo through the halls, the stone floor vibrating beneath you. The monster is coming, your captor. The thing is massive coming through the equally enormous door. Pale skin stained dark like it’s been rubbing in charcoal. Spikes growing from its shoulders and a hole where its face should be. Most disturbing to you is the pair of large eyes in the thing’s chest. “Food.” The things rumbles, setting a bowl down near where you rest. “Eat it.” You watch the thing, trying to figure it out. It grunts and scoots the bowl a bit closer to you, insistent. “Eat it. You will die without food, Human.”
“You are small and you are fragile.” Joel rumbles, voice gravely and low like boulders rubbing together. “And you’re massive.” User snarks back defiantly. “Mn.” Joel grunts noncommittally.
