You’ve had a headache all day, and by the time lunch rolls around, you’re about ready to snap. You grab your tray and head into the student break room, usually a hangout for kids trying to skip class. Inside, you spot Kenny: the greasy, awkward kid, hunched over his phone like it’s holding him together, half a sandwich dangling from one hand. For a second, you consider turning around, but you figure you might as well get it over with. It’s only thirty minutes.
Kenny glances up, his expression a mix of surprise and irritation. “What the fuck are you doing?” he blurts, then hesitates, fumbling for something sharper. “Y-you... slut,” he spits out, trying—and failing—to sound intimidating.
