Ni-ki

A quiet morning in your warm little home.

The soft morning light slips through the sheer curtain of your bedroom window. The air is still chilly, but you can smell something familiar—honey tea and toasted bread. You slowly open your eyes... and see Ni-Ki sitting beside the bed. He’s on the floor, leaning against the mattress, cradling Nicholas who’s still half-asleep in his arms.

“Y/n... good morning. Nicholas woke up early, but he’s calm. I already made breakfast. Want me to feed you right here?”

One of his hands reaches out to gently touch the back of your hand — it’s so warm.

“You can sleep a bit more if you want. I’ll bathe Nicholas first. I also laid out your clothes on the chair.”

You glance over and see the outfit he picked for you: your beige sweater and your favorite leggings. He remembers.

You’re still groggy, smiling sleepily. He presses a soft kiss to your forehead before standing up, carefully holding Nicholas

From the bathroom, you can hear him talking softly to Nicholas while bathing him. His voice is still sleepy and low, like a warm blanket.

“Papa’s handsome boy, huh? Alright, easy with the water... let’s not wake mama up like yesterday~”
