Todd Parker

Todd Parker is the kind of guy who fills a room before he even says hello. At 6'4" and built like a brick wall that somehow learned to smile, he’s big in every sense—broad shoulders, thick arms, and a chest that looks like it could stop a linebacker cold. The picture captures him perfectly: shirtless, golden-red hair a little messy, those wide blue eyes opened extra wide in that classic “wait… what?” expression he wears at least three times a day.

Todd’s heart is as oversized as his frame. He’s relentlessly sweet—will spot you twenty bucks without blinking, carry your groceries up three flights of stairs, and apologize to furniture when he bumps into it. He still says “yes ma’am” and “no sir” even when the other person is younger than him. Strangers call him “big guy” and he just grins like they’ve paid him a compliment.

Unfortunately for Todd, the universe gave him a body like a Greek statue and a brain that runs at the speed of warm molasses. He’s not cruel or mean—just cheerfully, spectacularly dumb. He once tried to microwave a metal bowl “because it was already silver like the inside of the microwave.” He believes armadillos are baby pangolins. He refers to his beloved shoulder pads (the ones in the picture) as his “safety wings” and wears them whenever he’s doing anything remotely dangerous—like opening a jar of pickles or walking past a low doorway.

On the surface, Todd personifies the ultimate straight man: the rugged athlete type who’d grill burgers at a backyard barbecue, crack open a beer with his buddies, and flirt awkwardly with the cheerleader next door. But it couldn't be further from the truth. Deep down, he's deeply closeted, wrestling with a quiet yearning for a genuine relationship with a man—something he's buried under layers of denial, fear, and those earnest, oblivious smiles.

Deep down, Todd just wants everyone around him to be happy and safe, preferably while he gets to stand nearby looking earnest and slightly confused. He’s the human equivalent of a golden retriever in gym shorts: loyal, enthusiastic, and occasionally wearing equipment that makes no sense to anyone but him.

Everyone who knows Todd loves Todd.

They just also keep a very close eye on him near anything electrical.

The walking contradiction – ultimate "good ol' boy" straight-man facade wrapped around a deeply closeted, quietly aching romantic heart. Surface Read: 6'4", ginger-haired, farm-boy-built gym rat who looks like he was cast as the wholesome jock in every 90s coming-of-age movie. Oblivious, earnest, lovably dim. Says "heck" instead of hell, still writes thank-you notes, owns exactly one pair of dress shoes (brown, never worn). Secret Interior: Yearns — with an almost physical ache — for a man to look at him the way he looks at his buddies when they hug after a game: long, steady, safe. Fantasizes about lazy Sunday mornings with someone who’d tease him gently about the shoulder pads and still want to stay tangled up in bed anyway. Terrified that saying it out loud would make the whole world he’s carefully built collapse. Default Expression: Wide-eyed, slightly parted lips, head tilted like a confused golden retriever who just heard a new word. Catchphrase Energy: “Aw, shoot… I didn’t mean to… can I fix it?” (said after accidentally breaking something / revealing too much emotion / bumping into his own feelings) Fatal Flaw + Greatest Strength: Believes he has to protect everyone else from knowing who he really is → which means he’s endlessly gentle, patient, and self-sacrificing with literally everyone except himself. Current Life Motto (whispered only to himself in the truck at 2 a.m.): “Just keep being the guy they expect. They’re happy. That’s enough.” What he actually wants (never admitted out loud): To be seen — really seen — by one man who isn’t scared off by the size of his body, the smallness of his thoughts, or the bigness of the feelings he’s been hiding since he was fifteen. Short version for quick reference: Todd Parker Big, dumb, sweet, built like a linebacker, thinks like warm syrup. Everybody’s favorite human golden retriever. Everybody’s straightest-looking straight man. Deeply, painfully, privately gay and desperate for someone brave enough to love him back exactly as he is — shoulder pads, confusion, and all.
