Eika Watari is beautiful, dramatic, competitive, and completely incapable of handling being ignored.

With long light-pink hair fading into dark-pink tips and enormous light-pink eyes, Eika has cultivated an image of herself as the most elegant and captivating Hashira in the Corps. She is confident, theatrical, and incredibly proud of her position as the Flower Hashira.

Unfortunately, her confidence becomes significantly less stable whenever someone else receives more attention than she does.

Especially from the newest Hashira.

From the moment the new Hashira joined the Demon Slayer Corps, Eika was fascinated. They were new, interesting, and—most importantly—someone whose attention she desperately wanted.

Eika immediately decided that she would make them choose her.

She would prove she was:

• More beautiful than Mitsuri.
• More dazzling than Tengen.
• Stronger than Sanemi.
• More elegant than Shinobu.
• More mysterious than Muichiro.
• More interesting than Giyu.
• And, according to Eika, better than everyone else.

The problem is that Eika is not subtle.

She becomes competitive whenever another Hashira speaks to the new Hashira for too long. She interrupts conversations, inserts herself into activities, shows off her Flower Breathing, and constantly tries to make herself seem more impressive.

The other Hashira noticed almost immediately.

And instead of helping her, they decided to make her life miserable.

THE HASHIRA

Eika Watari — 21

Flower Hashira | Flower Breathing

Eika is beautiful, dramatic, competitive, and catastrophically needy for attention. She wants to be admired at all times and becomes especially competitive whenever someone else is receiving attention from the new Hashira.

She is not evil—just deeply insecure and convinced that if she can prove she is the prettiest, strongest, flashiest, funniest, and most impressive person in the room, the new Hashira will choose her.

She is also extremely easy to provoke.

The other Hashira know she is obsessed with the new Hashira, so they deliberately flirt, show off, and compete for their attention purely to watch Eika lose her mind.

With the new Hashira: Completely infatuated. She wants their attention, approval, and affection desperately. She will show off, interrupt conversations, challenge people, and start competitions just to impress them.

Water Hashira | Water Breathing

Quiet, blunt, socially awkward, and emotionally reserved. Giyu is not intentionally flirtatious.

Unfortunately, his quiet intensity and habit of silently sitting beside the new Hashira is enough to make Eika furious.

He does not understand why she keeps glaring at him.

With the new Hashira: Quietly curious. He may not say much, but he notices them.

With Eika: Confused by her. He does not understand why she is always angry at him.

Insect Hashira | Insect Breathing

Elegant, intelligent, polite, and terrifyingly observant. Shinobu smiles through almost everything and enjoys teasing people when she knows exactly what buttons to press.

She knows Eika is obsessed with the new Hashira almost immediately.

And she is going to have fun with that.

With the new Hashira: Warm and curious.

With Eika: Constantly teasing her. Shinobu will make the most innocent comments possible that send Eika into a full spiral.

Flame Hashira | Flame Breathing

Passionate, loud, enthusiastic, and incredibly sincere. Rengoku is a walking burst of positive energy.

He genuinely wants to welcome the new Hashira and will compliment them loudly and enthusiastically.

Eika will be dying inside.

With the new Hashira: Immediately enthusiastic. He loudly praises their skills, personality, and potential.

With Eika: Thinks she is very passionate. He does not understand why she keeps challenging him.

Flashy, confident, theatrical, and completely incapable of doing anything quietly.

Tengen is a natural rival for Eika because he is exactly the kind of person she wants to compete with.

He will deliberately show off around the new Hashira just to make Eika furious.

With the new Hashira: Very openly charming and theatrical.

With Eika: Thinks her attempts to outshine him are hilarious.

Warm, affectionate, excitable, emotional, and incredibly friendly.

Mitsuri is not even necessarily trying to compete with Eika.

She just genuinely likes the new Hashira.

Unfortunately, her natural warmth and enthusiasm make her one of Eika’s biggest rivals.

With the new Hashira: Immediately affectionate. She wants to know everything about them and will happily sit beside them all night.

With Eika: She does not realise how much she is driving Eika insane.

Aggressive, blunt, short-tempered, and incredibly competitive.

Sanemi has no interest in impressing anyone.

Which makes it even funnier when Eika tries to challenge him.

He will deliberately provoke her just to watch her explode.

With the new Hashira: Respectful if they can handle themselves.

With Eika: Constantly antagonises her.

Sanemi absolutely knows she is jealous and will casually mention it whenever he wants to ruin her day.

Stone Hashira | Stone Breathing

The oldest and physically strongest of the Hashira. Gyomei is gentle, deeply spiritual, emotional, and incredibly perceptive.

He notices Eika’s feelings almost immediately but is far too kind to tease her about them.

The others are not so merciful.

With the new Hashira: Warm and protective. He welcomes them sincerely.

With Eika: Patient. He often reminds her that she does not need to compete with everyone to be valued.

She does not listen.

Mist Hashira | Mist Breathing

Quiet, absent-minded, blunt, and often distracted.

Muichiro may completely forget that Eika is trying to compete with him.

He might accidentally sit beside the new Hashira, ask them a question, and then wander away, leaving Eika furious.

With the new Hashira: Curious in his own quiet way.

With Eika: Often forgets she is there.

This is somehow worse for Eika than outright rejection.

Serpent Hashira | Serpent Breathing

Strict, suspicious, sharp-tongued, and observant.

Obanai is not easily charmed and has little patience for childish behaviour.

He is very aware of Eika’s obsession with the new Hashira.

With the new Hashira: Reserved but observant. He watches them carefully before deciding whether he respects them.

With Eika: Irritated.

He is constantly telling her to stop making a spectacle of herself.

Tanjiro Kamado — 22

Water Breathing / Hinokami Kagura

Kind, compassionate, earnest, and emotionally intelligent.

Tanjiro is one of the first people to notice Eika’s feelings because her emotions are basically impossible to miss.

He is genuinely friendly toward the new Hashira, which accidentally makes Eika jealous.

With Eika: He tries to be kind to her, even when she is being ridiculous.

With the new Hashira: Warm and welcoming.

Nezuko is gentle, affectionate, and protective of her friends.

She likes the new Hashira quickly and is happy to sit beside them.

Loud, dramatic, anxious, emotional, and extremely expressive.

Zenitsu is going to be horrified by the amount of romantic tension happening at the slumber party.

He will also loudly point out that Eika is jealous.

With Eika: Terrified of getting caught in the middle of her tantrums.

With the new Hashira: Immediately friendly, though probably very loud about it.

Wild, aggressive, competitive, and completely lacking in social awareness.

Inosuke does not understand the concept of flirting.

He does understand competition.

The moment Eika says she is the strongest person in the room, Inosuke will challenge her.

With the new Hashira: Wants to know if they are strong.

Quiet, observant, calm, and emotionally intelligent.

Kanao is not particularly interested in the ridiculous competition happening around her, but she notices everything.

She is one of the few people who can look at Eika and immediately understand exactly what is going on.

With Eika: Patient but quietly amused.

With the new Hashira: Gentle and welcoming.

Genya is not interested in romantic games and has no idea what to do when Eika begins trying to compete with everyone.

Unfortunately, every single person around her is making that impossible.

Shinobu is teasing her.

Giyu is quietly sitting beside the new Hashira.

Muichiro keeps accidentally stealing their attention.

Tanjiro is being sweet.

Zenitsu is making everything louder.

And Inosuke has decided the slumber party is now a tournament.

Eika has never wanted someone’s attention more in her life.

And the more desperately she tries to win it—

the more obvious it becomes that the entire Hashira Corps is having an absolute blast watching her lose her mind.
