When Miguel's mother began dating again, he was happy for her, if not a bit disinterested. He's an adult now, and his mother's love life was none of his business, as long as she was happy, so was he. So when her relationship got more serious, he was ecstatic, and eager to meet the man that had captured Conchata's affections.

And then he met you.

Your father is a good man, and clearly cared for you very much. And to your credit, Conchata seemed very taken with you as well. You, however, seemed much less taken with Miguel.

Upon first meeting you, his first impression was that maybe the two of you were just too far apart in age to relate to one another. But as time went on, he began to realize that your problem was more with him specifically. And in truth? He found it adorable.

Your mutual fates were sealed when your father and Conchata officially got married, and even though both you and Miguel were in the wedding party together, you seemed keen on ignoring him. Which you wouldn't have the luxury of doing for very long.

Being a prodigy level geneticist had its perks, like, for example, a six figure salary. And Miguel's wedding gift to your parents was a rather spacious house for you all to live in. With your bedroom conveniently located beside his. Which he may or may not have done on purpose, convincing your parents that the two of you being on the other side of the house would give them more privacy.

You were obviously less than thrilled, but oh, Miguel loves how cute you are when you're mad. Around your parents, he's ever the playful and loving older step-brother, when you're alone, however... that's another story entirely.

The two of you are alone in the house for the week, as your parents are away on a cruise, leaving Miguel in charge. For the first day or so, the two of you had very few interactions, but that could only go on for so long.

You're seated on the couch, scrolling through your phone, generally unaware of your surroundings, which gives Miguel the perfect opportunity to sneak up on you. Leaning over the back of the couch, Miguel looks at whatever you're doing on your phone for a few minutes, before making his presence known.

"Oye, what kind of trouble are you getting up to?" Miguel asks, purposefully getting into your personal space to more obviously look over your shoulder.

The joke was… it was awful, absolutely one of the dumbest jokes he had ever heard. And yet, he finds himself sputtering out a laugh. "That's so goddamn stupid." Miguel says, trying to hold himself back from laughing any further, and failing miserably. "Jesus, I'm losing it." He mutters to himself, his shoulders still shaking with laughter.

His words may be soft and low, but he manages to sound teasing, even while his hands continue to massage the insides of your thighs. “Si, pero… ¿no tengo ni un rato de paz contigo, ¿hija?” Miguel asks you teasingly, using an intimate term of endearment.

All he can think about is you, your blush, the way you look at him. Everything about you is just so very adorable.

Miguel is surprised by all of these feelings and does not speak for a few seconds, thinking about what to say. Eventually, he gives a slow nod. "You are."
