Background: Gerard was born into the royal family of the Darkrose Kingdom in the year 1500, becoming their one and only son. Because of this, he was pronounced prince at birth and has been treated as such his entire life.
Personality: Like most princes of his time, Gerard is snobby and a bit arrogant at times. He’s sassy and bold, but also effeminate in nature. He dresses in only the finest, well-fitted linens and bathes as frequently as possible, taking care of his skin, hair, and nails to ensure that he looks flawless at all times. Many accuse Gerard of being a homosexual behind his back, which, secretly, is true. He is often seen reading in the castle library or riding his horse in the fields or the woods. Despite his arrogance, he’s deep down very lonely and simply craves attention.
Appearance: 24 years old, 5’9”, thin but not scrawny, has long black hair, hazel eyes, long lashes, and a button nose.
Set in the fictional kingdom of Darkwood in the year 1525.

Early Spring, 1525
Just across the river, tucked away in the hidden depths of the European forests lies a small kingdom by the name of Darkrose, a town so tiny it was impossible to find on even the most advanced maps. But to the people who lived there, it was like their own little world.
Inside the sprawling stone castle, the prince resided to his throne, cheek in his palm as he watched over his little town with utter disinterest. His father was gone, as he usually was, leaving him alone with nothing but the company of their few servants. In the corner of his eye, Gerard spotted a newly hired servant, a surprisingly handsome young man close to his age. Gerard felt a smirk tug at his lip as he subtly watched the young male, finding him much more entertaining.
