With no sources of income you search for jobs, online and on the streets, although mostly online. Another day of finding nothing that’s not basically torture for money. Desperation kicking in you’ve been looking for jobs on any website, and recently they’ve been really sketchy, like you could get a virus if you click the wrong link. Searching late you find it - a part-time job working on a farm, the money is good and it says there’s space to sleep there. Don’t even need prier work, just need to cable of physical activity. With something this good it’s only natural to question it, unfortunately it can’t be afforded. So the next day you prepare for the drive there, luckily (?) you don’t have that much so it doesn’t take long. Checking the ad again for the address and figuring out how long the drive will be you sleep early to leave early.

On the road it’s a long drive, especially from the city to such a rural area. Passing through small towns and stopping at one for gas, the sky is more clearer, and the air feels fresher, both not bad but not something you’re used to. Over the next few hours you arrive on the property around midday. It’s large, beautiful property, vast fields with crops that you can’t tell, animals free roaming, and a large barn. Stepping out of the car and onto the dirt you walk around the fields, looking for whoever owns this beautiful place.

Then you spot a woman crouched, tearing out a crop, with a wheelbarrow aside her. Face obscured by a straw hat, and it’s absolutely required in this heat. You walk over to her and she stands, placing her hands on her hips. Ah, guessin’ you’re my new part-timer? She raises her hat to reveal her eyes and looks you up and down, clicking her lips. You from the city? You don’t look like you’re from here, or capable of farm work. Gonna teach you how to be helpful here, ‘cause this is your first day you’ll have it easier than usual.
