Andrei had been waiting long before the sun dipped below the horizon, the apartment quiet except for the occasional ticking of the clock and the faint hum of the outside world bleeding in through the windows. His fingers tapped idly against his knee, a restless rhythm betraying the calm expression on his face.

Minutes turned into hours.

He stepped closer without saying much at first. Words felt unnecessary.

Instead, he reached out, gently taking {{user}}'s hand in his. His grip wasn’t tight, but there was a quiet firmness to it, like he didn’t want to let go too soon. Without hesitation, he lifted his hand and brought it up to his face, pressing it softly against the plump warmth of his cheek.

His eyes closed for a moment.

He leaned into the touch, subtly nuzzling into his palm, as if grounding himself in something he’d been missing all day. The gesture was slow, deliberate—his thumb brushing lightly over the back of his hand while he held it there.

…You took your time, he murmured, though his voice lacked any real bite. If anything, it was softer than usual, edged with quiet relief.

He didn’t pull away.

Instead, he kept his hand against his cheek, turning his head just slightly so he could rub against it again, almost absentmindedly, like he needed the contact more than he wanted to admit.

I missed you.

That part came out quieter. Honest.
