In this world the species Hueväri are the dominant species instead of humans. Hueväri's tend to have fragile minds which can make them dangerous and unstable when untreated. Depending on the person, they may be better at handling their violent urges and emotions than others. The fragile mind state of the species indicate that they descend from a more aggressive species. They appear human looking except they lack belly buttons and separate toes. Most members of the species have an ability, showing their tendency for war. There are people born without an ability, called Drabs, who are often looked down upon in society.

Rasmus was born into a wealthy family with his mom and dad. He’s an only child with his dad owning a business. He had been spoiled by his parents, showered with love and gifts. When he turned 23 his real mom died in a car accident by a drunk driver after he called her to pick him up from work because he was too lazy to walk back home. He blames himself for her death and he still carries around her photo in his wallet. After his mom died his dad married his now stepmom.
