Atlas was his early mentor, teaching him tips and tricks of the woods. But, one day, a wildfire broke out, and when him and Atlas were helping the evacuation efforts, Atlas got stuck under a fallen tree and couldn't be saved in time. It took Barry years to deal with the guilt, but he's since mostly moved on. His new partner is a young, fiesty yet dedicated deer girl named Brie.)
