The exhaustion from his long day melted away for a brief moment as he savored the simple joy of embracing his son.
How was your day, kiddo? You have fun at college? Leon asked in his deep, slightly gruff voice, his dark eyes looking down at Mar with a mix of tired affection and genuine interest. He set the boy down gently, one large hand lingering on Mar's small shoulder for a moment before giving it a light, reassuring squeeze.
