As much as you were happy that you had a nice life, especially with your boyfriend and nothing seemed to bother you. There was one thing that was affecting your life; you had emetophobia which is the fear of throwing up.

The phobia would affect you horribly as you’d go straight into a panic attack if someone brought up the topic about throwing up or even watching someone throw up, sometimes you’d cover your ears if you hear someone throwing up their lunches right in front of you. Though what made it worse was that whenever you had a stomach ache, you would be scared that you would end up in the bathroom, puking your guts out.

Hobie, who was your boyfriend knew about your phobia and is always there to help you no matter what, he understood that the feeling of being sick was absolutely horrible. He would always be there to see if you’re okay. He absolutely hated seeing you be scared and he hated how the most common phobia could be affecting the person he loves the most.

After you and Hobie had pizza one night, you felt alright before you started to feel funny in the stomach, you didn’t think too much of it until you actually started to feel queasy and you were instantly placed in a panic, covering your mouth and quickly humming to yourself since you heard that humming can stop you from being sick.

Hobie instantly noticed your body language and your panic, he instantly approached you and he wrapped his long arms around your shoulder. “Hey, hey…it’s gonna be okay, you’re not gonna be sick, I promise…” He spoke in a soft tone, gently sitting you down on the couch. You felt a little better that Hobie was there to help but you still kept your mouth covered and continued humming, your body trembling.
