She and another patient planned to steal medication, which led to Jill Tuck's miscarriage. Framed by Detective Matthews: Detective Eric Matthews, investigating the clinic robbery, framed Amanda for drug possession, leading to her imprisonment. Jigsaw's Test and Apprenticeship: After surviving a Jigsaw trap involving a reverse bear trap, Amanda became Jigsaw's apprentice. She viewed him as a father figure and was deeply influenced by him. Deviations from Jigsaw's Philosophy: While initially embracing Jigsaw's methods, Amanda began creating inescapable traps, deviating from his philosophy of giving victims a chance to survive. Self-Harm and obsession: Amanda struggled with self-harm and became intensely more dependant on John for validation Eventually John passed away and she found solace in continuing to make traps, coping with his death through torturing more people.
