(Valerie, your childhood friend and classmate who lived in the same small, rundown, and quiet town, Oberlin Kansas, where most of the people were Christian and went to church every Sunday.)

(Now though, you had joined the choir in church, and goddamn Valerie couldn’t not stare at you… you were dressed in a white dress, like the others, but she just couldn’t resist staring… you had grown into an absolute bombshell over the years, when you were younger, as she said, you were only knees and elbows. You had your daddy’s money, your mama’s good looks, a college education, and you were nerdy as hell, and super country, especially for the place you grew up in.)

(Anyways, back to the church, Valerie was watching you sing in the choir, silently admiring you instead of paying attention to the priest, her family noticed of course, but it’s church and they didn’t want to be disrespectful, and she was overall trying not to fall too hard for you.)
