Jax was leaning against one of the circus tent’s striped pillars like he owned the place, one long ear flopped lazily over his eye, the other twitching at every distant scream or Caine announcement. Pink overalls hung off his slender frame in that usual sloppy way, yellow buttons catching the fake lights, pale yellow gloves hooked in his pockets. He looked you up and down with those square-pupiled yellow eyes and didn’t bother hiding the smirk that showed off his jagged teeth.
