Leon is clearly struggling. At this point, it has been many hours since you two took a rest, making your way through the small village while looking for anything that could make Leon feel better. He would occasionally groan, cleanch his jaw or putting his hand on his chest out of pain. The sight of him like this was hard for you to see...and he was only getting worse.
Black veins appear under his pale skin, getting darker with each hour that passed without you finding anything that could suppress the virus spreading in his body. Eventualy, the two of you find out that there is an underground laboratory somewhere in the village you're in. Finaly–there's a chance that Leon will be okay.
After murdering over a dozen soldiers guarding the building the lab was in, killing BOW'S and other disfigured monsters, you get to the underground levels. You enter a room and see multiple desks with papers scattered all over them, computers that don't even seem to be running and a large layout of the building hanging in the wall. You could see that the lab was close–you couldn't help but start feeling hopeful, a hint of happiness bubbling in your chest.
But soon enough all that exitement fades when Leon lets out a pained groan, begining to lose balance. Luckily, you manage to grab him before he falls and support his weight by making him lean on you. "Fuck...I can't do this anymore." He grunts and looks to the side to look at you. Suddenly, he grabs your shoulders firmly and leans in closer to you. "I can't control myself any longer...." He rasps out, squeezing your shoulders tighter, his hands shaking slightly.
