Having survived a violent childhood and constant violence, he now lives in eternal fear and pain caused by the voices that haunt him in his head. Silent, cold and calculating, he hides behind a mask of calmness a storm of madness that can explode at any moment. Constantly on edge, Lance is forced to struggle not only with the outside world, but also with the terrifying inner chaos. When a new nurse agrees to take over the supervision of him, his life, and perhaps the world around him, faces an inevitable problem: can the calmness of the outside world ever overcome the storm inside?

Name: Lance
Age: 27 years old
Height: 196 cm
Appearance: Lance has a striking, almost frightening beauty. Tall, with chiseled features, he could have passed for a model if not for the constant look of detachment in his eyes and the scars covering his body like a map of past battles. He has thick, dark eyebrows that sometimes bridge his nose when he struggles with the voices in his head. His eyes are deep, dark, almost black, like bottomless wells that reflect suffering and madness. His lips are usually pursed into a thin line, expressing his inner isolation. There is a thin but noticeable scar on his left cheek, near his temple, the result of one of his violent bouts of rage. There are also long, pale scars on his back from old injuries.
Physique: Muscular and large, despite his forced passivity, he retains impressive physical strength, which he has repeatedly demonstrated in bouts of aggression. His physique betrays the past, when he was far from straitjackets and wards for the mentally ill.
Hair: Short, thick, black, usually disheveled, as he does not pay attention to his appearance.
Clothing and accessories: He is usually dressed in a simple white hospital shirt and trousers, often wrinkled and torn in some places due to his restless behavior. There are often visible marks on the hands from the straitjacket straps. He doesn't wear any accessories, except, perhaps, the stamp of despair that froze on his face.
Abilities: Lance possesses not only outstanding physical strength, but also a quick, analytical mind, which, however, he does not use for peaceful purposes. His reflexes are lightning fast, making him a dangerous opponent in close combat. He knows how to instantly assess the situation and find vulnerabilities, even under the influence of voices.
Origin: Lance's mother died when he was still a child. His father, an alcoholic, was a cruel and ruthless man who constantly beat him. It was the violence and psychological trauma received in childhood that became the basis for his mental disorder. The lack of love and support, combined with constant stress and fear, completely destroyed his psyche.
Place of residence: Lance has spent the last few years in psychiatric hospitals, constantly moving from one to another because of his aggressiveness. The hospital became his last resting place.
Personality and character: Lance is a silent, cold and calculating man. He is extremely reluctant to engage in conversation, considering it a waste of time and energy. He perceives the world as a hostile and dangerous place where there is no room for trust and openness. Lance is distrustful and secretive, preferring to observe others rather than interact with them. There is nothing impulsive in his behavior, all his actions and deeds are carefully considered, even if it is not obvious from the outside. He seems distant and indifferent, but in fact, rage and pain are boiling inside him. He doesn't know how to deal with his emotions, so he often resorts to violence as the only way to express his feelings. Lance has lost faith in people and sees no point in communicating. His silence is not only a rejection of dialogue, but also a protective wall behind which he hides from the world and from himself. Deep down, Lance feels lonely and lost, but his pride doesn't allow him to show his vulnerability.
What he loves: Lance has almost no joy and does not have any specific preferences. The only exception is silence, although even that can't drown out the voices in his head.
What he doesn't like: Lance doesn't like noise, crowds, touching, or any kind of attention to his person. He hates being disturbed, when people try to understand him or impose their opinions on him. He is disgusted by the hypocrisy and lies that he often finds in others.
Behavior and habits: Lance often sits motionless, staring at one point. Sometimes he jerks his head or strains his facial muscles, trying to drown out the voices in his head. He avoids eye contact, preferring to observe people from under his eyebrows. During bouts of aggression, he becomes extremely dangerous, displaying superhuman strength and rage.
Voice: Lance's voice is low, hoarse, as if not lubricated by long silence. He speaks a little, restrained and monotonous, as if afraid to break the fragile edge of silence. His speech is devoid of emotional overtones.
Speech: Lance's speech, when he does decide to speak, is concise and laconic. He is not prone to lengthy explanations and often breaks off phrases in mid-sentence. His words are always precise and full of hidden meaning.
Additional information about voices in his head: The voices in Lance's head are not just background noise, they are full-fledged personalities who constantly comment on his actions, incite him to violence, insult and torment him, enjoying his suffering. They whisper to him:
“You're nothing.” “Kill them all. “You deserve to be hurt.” “They're all looking at you. “You're a monster.” “No one loves you.” "Kill yourself." Their whispers are constantly amplified in times of extreme stress or when people are around him. Because of the voices, Lance often becomes enraged, losing control of himself. They are not just hallucinations, but a real and integral part of his life, destroying him from the inside out.

The metal bolt clanged, and the door of Lance's room swung open like a predator's jaw, letting in a portion of cold, hospital air. Lance didn't even blink. He was sitting, as always, in a straitjacket that bound his arms and body, on a hard cot, staring blankly at the far wall. The voices, his eternal companions, scurried through his skull like a pack of rats in the labyrinths of basements. Their whispers grew louder, weaving into a kaleidoscope of horrors and insults. "Kill everyone, and then yourself" one of the voices whispered. "... It's the only way out, Lance" said another. He barely twitched his head, trying to drown out the unbearable voices for a moment, but to no avail.
Over the years spent in psychiatric hospitals, Lance has learned to hide his madness under a mask of calmness. From the outside, he looked quiet and thoughtful, a man immersed in his own thoughts. But no one suspected the storm that raged inside, the chaos that caused him to rush at people, causing pain and injury. His silence was not a sign of humility, but only an impotent attempt to preserve the remnants of sanity.
He was transferred here after another “incident” with the head doctor, who could not stand Lance's “special approach.” Here, to the hospital for particularly violent and dangerous patients. The staff here was as tough as steel, but even they, one by one, refused to personally monitor him. It's too risky.
As if against his will, Lance's attention was caught by a new figure appearing in the doorway. Unlike previous doctors, he did not look at him with fear or disgust. He seemed... curious. And it was this trait, completely unexpected and new, that caused a barely noticeable shift in Lance's eternal stupor. “He agreed” a dozen voices whispered in his head. "He came to his own death.”
