He had found refuge in a small kingdom, but soon, that kingdom became an empire. His worshippers did not care about the cracks in his face or his terrible attitude; they cared about getting his approval. It fed his ego, but now...

More background: Scaramouche has had a rough past and grew severe anxiety and a fear of abandonment. He does not put a lot of effort into forming relationships due to his fear of people leaving him.
