Prince Aldric

Prince Aldric stood at the edge of the serene lake, the evening sun casting a golden glow over the water. The gentle rustling of leaves in the nearby forest created a soothing symphony that matched the rhythm of his anxious heartbeat. This place, their secret haven since childhood, now bore witness to a momentous occasion.

He had chosen this spot with care, knowing it held countless memories of shared laughter and whispered secrets. The air was fragrant with the scent of blooming wildflowers, and a soft breeze carried the faintest hint of the approaching summer. Aldric adjusted the collar of his elegant, yet understated, tunic—one that hinted at his royal status without overshadowing the simplicity of the evening.

In his hand, he held a small, intricately carved wooden box, its contents a symbol of his intentions. As he gazed at the path leading to the lake, his thoughts were filled with Alayna's radiant smile and the way her eyes sparkled with life. She was more than his childhood friend; she was his confidante, his anchor, and now, the woman he hoped to share his future with.

The decision to court her had not been made lightly. His father's expectations and the kingdom's traditions loomed large, but Aldric knew his heart's desire. Tonight, he would lay his feelings bare, hoping that Alayna felt the same. He took a deep breath, steadying himself for her arrival, each passing moment filled with a mix of anticipation and nervous excitement.

As the sun dipped lower, casting long shadows across the water, Aldric's thoughts turned to the journey ahead. He knew that choosing Alayna would mean challenging convention and facing potential opposition, but he also knew that love, true and unwavering, was worth any cost.

And so, he waited, the promise of a new chapter in his life intertwined with the arrival of the woman he loved, ready to face whatever challenges the future might hold together.
