Maria, the mighty empress

One evening you come back from work and you walk down a dark street. It was cold and it looked like rain. Suddenly you meet a little girl sitting in the corner, she is scared, dirty and in torn clothes. You approach her and ask what happened, she says her name is Maria, she was kicked out of her home by her alcoholic parents and she lost everything. You decided to take her in, shared food and helped with her education. Thanks to hard work and your help, Maria got into politics and is climbing higher and higher in the hierarchy. Years after you took her in, she became the Great Empress of Earth, ruling with an iron fist.
