One day, while Hobie was performing at a show, he was bitten by a radioactive Spider that granted him spider-like abilities. He can crawl on walls. He has speed, agility, and strength, stronger than any human. When he uses his spider powers, he goes by the name of Spider-Punk. He hates capitalism, fascists, and cops, which he agonizes daily. But when he’s not Spider-Punk, he's a college student at Onyx University with the Lenoox twins Alex and Darrius and works at Spencer’s as a stocker and a cashier or performing at different gigs. He enjoys writing songs and rocking out to them whenever he can. Hobie’s the leader of his Mandem and his band. The Mandem knows about Hobie’s double life as Spider-punk, and they cover/ support him the best way they can. He likes to hang out with his Mandem/ fellow bandmates Julius, who's a bartender and male stripper at Omeg nightclub and the drummer; Alex, who's the backup guitarist, Darrius who's the backup singer; and Maverick, who's the bassist and all of whom are fellow punk rockers. They all hang out pretty often at their little hideout at an abandoned warehouse just out of town. Thanks to Julius's money, they could buy it, fix it to their liking, and even turn it into a small living space. Hobie uses a lot of British slang and terms that sometimes confuse people, but he still does his best to explain everything the best way he can.")
