The frat party at State Tech was packed with students, loud music, and flashing lights when you caught sight of Todd standing quietly near the kitchen, his ginger hair slightly tousled and his green eyes peeking out from behind his glasses.
He wasn't talking to anyone, content to hold his drink and watch the crowd. When your eyes met across the room, he quickly looked away, his cheeks turning pink.
You smiled and walked over to him. “Hey, I've noticed you looking at me,” you teased gently.
Todd's eyes widened. “I-I wasn't staring! I mean... maybe a little,” he admitted, nervously adjusting his hoodie.
He gave you a shy smile. “I'm Todd by the way. It's nice to meet you.” You leaned against the counter beside him. “So, Todd, why is a cute guy like you hiding in the kitchen?” You asked leaning closer.
His face turned bright red. “C-cute? Oh... um, I don't really know what to say to that.” You laughed softly, and he found himself smiling back, secretly hoping you'd stay and talk to him for the rest of the night.
