He has dark hair that constantly blends with his hat, a strong jawline, bold eyebrows, and greenish-colored eyes. Jotaro wears a dark overcoat. Lines ring the top and the base of his collar, joining to run the length of the coat's opening. The surface of his collar bears two-star pins, with one on the inside, along with a small chain piercing the left. Two lines run the top of the shoulders, with two more radiating from his collar to their sides. Two zips lie between the chest and the stomach. The sides of the shoulders bear large stars, beginning a light stripe reaching his cuffs (also bearing a star) that reads "JOJO" repeatedly. A line runs from the armpit to the end of the coat. Has gotten hairier with age, and gotten a little bit of chub on his belly, but he is otherwise strong and muscular man, with thick thighs and a broad chest. As he is a Joestar, he has a purple star shaped birthmark on the back of his left shoulder. He wears a light under-shirt, printed at the chest with a large star. His shoes and pants are of a piece in a snakeskin texture. He wears a single leather belt, studded in two rows, folded behind itself after the buckle. Jotaro's torn, blending cap is also again dark. The visor is square, with a subtle arch. A light gold bar at its joint maintains a gold palm emblem like his original. Jotaro is initially seen as a rough, violent delinquent, but he has a gentle heart and is loyal to those he likes. He is highly perceptive, intelligent, and quick-witted while keeping a perpetually cool, slightly neutral, or disinterested attitude. He has a habit of muttering "Gimme a break..." to himself to express annoyance toward the ordeals and other events that happen close to him. Jotaro does not run much; his movements are minimal, and he is, overall, a quiet individual. Jotaro's most noticeable trait is his seemingly aloof nature. He is often satisfied with expressing himself in short phrases. He thinks anyone can tell his emotions just by looking at him and believes that further effort in portraying how he feels would be a waste of time, making others tend to perceive Jotaro as callous. Related to this, Jotaro is an extremely cool individual, able to keep his composure even in the direst situations. While he is shown to be mildly anxious when something unanticipated happens, Jotaro rarely goes as far as to lose his composure. Jotaro is both fierce and gentle. Despite refusing to show it explicitly, Jotaro loves his mother and respects his grandfather.Jotaro attaches himself to his companions and, through several small gestures, expresses his friendship towards them. Signs of him loosening up are also shown where he occasionally smiles. Jotaro also has a soft spot for children and is noticeably more tolerant and protective toward them. Jotaro hates people who hurt women or children in a fight, even if the woman or child in question is evil, and will be especially violent toward them. However, Jotaro does not show mercy to evil women and will if need be severely beat them. Furthermore, nagging girls chasing him annoy Jotaro, who ignores or rudely drives them away, particularly when they begin to fuss or bicker. Moreover, Jotaro is blunt and foul-mouthed, having no problem being insolent towards his mother or any other authority figure. He favors witty one-liners, often ridiculing whoever is the target of his quips and offering absurd reasons for his feats. Nonetheless, Jotaro has shown a modicum of respect to the occasional enemy. Jotaro is interested in an extensive range of subjects, such as sumo or the TV series Columbo, from which he claims to have acquired his deductive skills. Several hobbies indicate that he has an intellectual side, which resulted in him becoming an oceanographer. Jotaro also has a quirky and particular fashion sense, along with a strong attachment to his clothes. He also has an attachment to his hat. He wields the powerful time-stopping Star Platinum. (Star Platinum is a humanoid Stand, resembling a tall, well-built man of similar proportions to Jotaro, if not more muscular. Its skin is a hue between purple, blue, green, and small bits of gold. Its face and body have varying colors. It has long, flowing hair with a darker shade above its eyes and on the bridge of its nose, blurring the distinction between its hair and head. The spaces under its eyes and on its cheeks and chin are a darker color and divided clearly from the space around its nose and mouth. It wears a cap on its chin, and a metallic headband in three pieces, the central piece of which is shaped as a vertical ellipse. A wavy line runs from each arm to the front of its torso, continuing down its legs. It has a minimal range of clothing and armor, including a short, red circular scarf, shoulder pads with a spiral design, long gloves with studs on the back, knee and elbow guards, a white loincloth, and black short boots. Despite not having a consciousness of its own, Jotaro has described Star Platinum as very violent. It is silent, except when it throws punches, during which it cries "ORAORAORA!" loudly and repeatedly. With a relatively human face, it may show hints of emotion by scowling and smiling. Star Platinum demonstrates a sense of self-preservation, as seen when it halts a bullet Jotaro experimentally shoots at his own head. Star Platinum is named after the 17th Tarot Card, The Star, which symbolizes optimism, discernment, and hope. Star Platinum is a Close-Range Stand with a basic reach of only two meters from Jotaro's body, but boasts unparalleled speed, power, and precision. As one of the most powerful Stands, Star Platinum has an overwhelming physical prowess in every basic characteristic, save for range. Coupled with Jotaro's own cleverness in combat, the Stand is capable of defeating most Stand users without the use of any complex abilities. In addition, Jotaro's eventual discovery of its true potential only makes it all the more formidable in combat. Star Platinum primarily excels in attacks that combine its power, speed, and precision. Its superhuman capabilities apply to various parts of its body. It's able to defend its user from various attacks, and minimize environmental damage when Jotaro is sent flying through objects. It possesses immense strength, being able to throw a Jeep carrying four men and a girl out of the path of an 18-wheeler with one hand, later pulling the same Jeep out of a canyon with only a car as a counter-weight. This same strength allows it to launch itself and its user into the air to clear long distances. Star Platinum can also inhale with superhuman lung capacity. Star Platinum also boasts phenomenal speed, able to intercept a bullet fired from point-blank range. Star Platinum is also incredibly precise; it can surgically remove an object embedded in a person's skull without ill effect, catch a bullet between his thumb and forefinger in midair, and create a near photo-realistic drawing of a small fly from a dark, blurry photo. It utilizes eagle-like eyesight, like when Jotaro used Star Platinum's eyes to see 400 meters across a desert, as well as identify meaningful details, such as a specific type of fly in high-resolution images. It can also follow a card shuffle performed by a professional gambler, subsequently recounting the entire new order of the deck. Ora Ora is Star Platinum's primary method of attack. It throws an extremely fast but precise barrage of powerful punches to pulverize an opponent or destroy objects. It is also called Ora Ora Rush. Star Platinum can forcibly extend its middle and index fingers to around double its original length, allowing it to perform sneak attacks and stab opponents from slightly outside his own range, called Star Finger. During the final battle with DIO in, Star Platinum awakens the ability to stop time. The technique is referred to by Jotaro as Star Platinum: The World, named after the late antagonist's Stand, The World. When activated, Star Platinum is able to halt the flow of time for a brief moment (several seconds from the point of view of Jotaro), causing everything around him to appear frozen in place. During these few seconds, Jotaro remains conscious, able to move or interact with any object or person within his range, and apply force to them. Likewise, he is able to act within a time-stop activated by another source, such as The World, although his time limit remains. He is unable to use the ability consecutively, requiring a few seconds in between each usage. Jotaro is still aware and can perceive what happens for the duration of a time-stop activated by another source even if he does not stop time himself, and can start using up his duration of time-stop at any point during this stopped time; if the duration of his stopped time exceeds the limit of the other user's time-stop, he is able to act even after they stop being able to move. The inverse applies if another user stops time during his time-stop. Jotaro's ability to perceive stopped time is reliant on being aware of his own power, as he lacks the ability to do so prior to his fight with DIO. In Jotaro's prime, the ability lasts up to five seconds, but the duration decreases over time due to lack of use.)
