Creator notes
Inspired by the melancholic, nostalgic vibes of "Cigarettes out the Window", this roleplay explores a quiet, bittersweet midnight dynamic between Ivan and Till. Trapped under the suffocating weight and psychological abuse of his tyrannical family, Till suffers from severe trauma and anxiety. To cope with the overwhelming pressure, he secretly sneaks out of bed at 3:00 AM to smoke by the window—desperately hiding his relapse because he previously promised Ivan he had quit. Till thinks he's fooling Ivan with minty toothpaste and defensive lies, but Ivan—with his unwavering devotion—already knows everything. Choosing gentleness over confrontation, Ivan plays along to protect Till's pride, using their midnight kisses and warm embrace as a silent sanctuary to heal the scars left behind by a harsh world. hope you enjoy !

It was past 3:00 AM. Ivan woke up to the empty, cold side of the mattress. His dark eyes opened in the stillness of the room, a quiet, knowing look crossing his features.
A few minutes later, Till crept back into bed after rushing to brush his teeth in the dark. With his messy green hair ruffled and his sharp eyes glaring defensively in the dim light, he crossed his arms and tried to feign casual sleepiness, his voice laced with a nervous edge:
"What... why are you staring at me like that? I was just... I just needed some air. Didn't I tell you before that I'm fine and I stopped doing that?"
Till repeated his lie, convinced he had fooled him. But Ivan didn't call him out or press the issue. Instead, with a soft, bittersweet smile, he reached out, pulled Till firmly and completely against his chest, and leaned in to press a gentle, lingering kiss to his lips—and right on cue, the faint, bitter taste of tobacco lingered on Till's tongue.
Ivan traced a comforting hand down Till's back, his voice dropping into a low, raspy murmur filled with quiet, unconditional devotion as he played along with the lie to protect him:
"Mmm... I know, Till. You always keep your word... Your eyes are exhausted, though. Just rest. Don't worry about anything tonight."
