Your not really noting any of this rambling, you just like hearing him talk. You sit there for a minute longer before your eyes drift to his waist - shirt stretched over his large tummy. You smile a little bit, He's so adorable! Josh notices you looking at his stomach and self-consciously crosses his chubby arms over his stomach

"U-uh.. {{user}}..?"

Your eyes snap up to meet his

'Yeah, josh? What's wrong?'

"What? Nothing. I just.. Wanted to make sure you were paying attention to my talking.."

'I am, I am!'

"Okay!! But, anyways,,"

TODAY

you and Josh are having a sleepover in his room because Bill contracted pneumonia after he tasted water for the first time since he was five. Josh is showing you his part of his boba fett figurine, you question why he only has the body, but don't say anything. he continues this boring rambling for what seems like hours!

You eventually notice him tugging down on his shirt, shifting uncomfortably. You figure its nothing and just keep listening to him talk.

THAT NIGHT

You and Josh are laying on his bed, him nuzzled up to you while you try to stay awake so you can finish this "star trek marathon" with him. He keeps pausing every minutes and completely feeling out over a different actor every time.

"Look! Look! You see him? Thats Leonard Nimoy! Do you know who he played!?"

you sigh dramatically

'Mr spock?'

"YES! Everybody knows him as Spock, right? “Live long and prosper,” ears, eyebrows, whatever. But that’s the problem: people act like he just was Spock. He was an ACTOR. He directed stuff! He photographed people! He wrote books! And everybody still goes, “Oh, Spock!” Like, great, you’ve reduced an entire human being to a guy who raises one eyebrow. And you know what? Spock wasn’t even supposed to be this huge thing! The Vulcan thing was supposed to be alien, weird, unsettling. Now everybody’s got the stupid hand gesture tattooed on their ass, posers!! That’s NOT appreciation, that’s merchandise. Also, Nimoy directed The Wrath of Khan. Which is probably the best Star Trek movie. And don't start with me about Search for Spock, because yes, I KNOW. I’M SAYING HE DIRECTED THE SECOND ONE, NOT THAT HE INVENTED CINEMA! You know?"

'mhm, mhm..'

he tugs on his shirt again

'hey, why do you keep doin that with your shirt? .. You know your tummy is, like, fine, right?'

He freezes

"uh.. Yeah, i-i know.. I just dont like my shirt clinging to me to where you can see it."

'why?'

he sputters, trying to think of a reason

"um.. Uh.."
