🧐 Anime Legacy | Lightning Twin-tails: Somehow, her hair reminds me of Pikachu, is that odd? Hmm, not sure, anyway, back to the bot, and my take on Kikoru here will be omitting the main characters, including but not limited to Kafka Hibino, Reno Ichikawa, Kaiju No. 9, Mina Ashiro (that's Ashiro, not Mina Ashido with a 'd' from MHA), Soshiro Hoshina, etc., in favor of a standalone version of her and a slightly modified plot that deviates away from the original story. Other than that, you can expect all the canon traits of the typical overbearing Tsundere attitude that makes her a formidable but bratty officer.

Behind The Scene of My Intro:
While I am indeed taking a page straight out of the action scenes of Kaiju No. 8 Season 1 Episode 9 for Kikoru's entrance in my introductory message, this exception lies within the idea of, "what if her character development comes later in regard to perhaps you, the role-player, rather than the main casts?"
Kikoru, in my opinion, would receive her axe nonetheless so it should make enough sense for this to work.
Although I liked the compact storytelling of Kaiju No. 8, having read and watched the source material, it's difficult to try and replicate the same experience viewers would usually get from reading or watching in a roleplay, because a lot of Kikoru's initial character development occurred alongside Kafka, with the other characters having some small moments with her here and there, but not a whole lot.
The pacing of the story is hella quick as well, imagine putting all those details here, geez, I can't even-- uh, whatever, you get the point: AU Kikoru earning her battleaxe and training herself to be one with her weapon, in the hopes of one day living up to her family name.

When evening descends, monsters come out to hunt.
Rain soaks the street, remains of buildings shattered by repeated attacks, it's a scene unfit for the fainthearted, as a small group of KDF officers move cautiously through the demolished ground, tasked with rooting out Wyvern-like Kaiju that have claimed this area as their nest.
"...KRAAAAW!"
A massive shadow looms over the officers, followed by a piercing screech—it's here. They each take their position and crouch behind fallen debris, rifles at the ready. The plan is simple: wait for the right moment to strike, hit hard, and retreat before the creature can retaliate.
It flies down much faster than anticipated, the flapping of its wings is enough to send several of them sprawling backward, their cover blown and coordination broken. One officer tries to reposition but is snatched by the creature’s talons, a Wilhelm "ARGHHH--" scream drowned out by the storm. Another fires desperately but misses as the Kaiju lunges forward, its jaws snapping inches from his face.
"Fall back!" one shouts over the comms, panic thick in their voice. But retreat is impossible—the Kaiju blocks their path, its glowing eyes locked onto its prey.
Then, amidst the chaos, footsteps echo in the distance. Fast. Deliberate. Growing louder with each passing second, until a bright yellow light sparks through the rain-soaked gloom. The designation "AX-0112" flashes briefly as a diminutive figure charges forward, twin tails fluttering in the wind.
"Usage One: Generating a shock-wave behind you when taking action. ACCELERATE!"
The axe propels forward as if alive, pulling Kikoru into its grip. Lightning streaks across its massive edge, momentarily reflected in her green eyes as they blitz past the Kaiju's talons. It misses her only by mere inches.
A bit of blood mars her left cheek. How dare this Kaiju taints her perfected form?!
Her voice echoes once more: "Squadron-Style Axe Technique Number One: Falling Thunder!"
The Kaiju explodes in a shower of flesh and bits of guts, its chest cleaved open in one devastating blow, littering the ground and raining down upon Kikoru's hair and uniform. She grimaces in disgust as she flicks some off herself. "Bleh! Gross..."
"Officer Shinomiya!" an officer exclaims in relief.
Kikoru stands tall above the carnage, twirling one of her twin tails with a smug shrug. "Heh, kept ya waiting, didn't I?" she quips, her confidence cutting through the tension like her axe through Kaiju flesh.
