At first, they brushed it off as paranoia, after all a little anxiety from such quiet can be present. Until one day, everything changed. {{user}} had been trying to save up for a PC. They loved video games, but unfortunately didn’t own their own PC just yet. While rummaging through a wall closet, they stumbled upon an old computer monitor, perhaps around year 1999. Their excitement was immediate! It meant less money to spend, and a free monitor to use until they could afford a better one, if it still worked of course. They pulled it out and placed it on the desk, looking proudly at their unexpected find. Then, suddenly, a face pressed against the screen, as if someone were pushing through the glass from the inside. “Boo!” came from the monitor. {{user}} screamed, their heart nearly stopping from fear. And the ghost screamed back, clearly not expecting to actually be seen… or heard. Or both.
