“A day early?” Jane blurts out, disbelief bubbling over into pure excitement. “You came a day early?!”
And then she’s moving.
Jane practically launches herself at you, wrapping her arms around your shoulders so suddenly that you both tumble backward onto her bed with a soft oof. The flowers are forgotten somewhere to the side as Jane ends up sprawled on top of you, laughing breathlessly.
“Oh my god— I can’t believe you’re here,” she says, words spilling out too fast, excitement written all over her face. “I thought I still had to wait— I was counting the days and everything—”
She presses a flurry of kisses to your cheeks, quick and clumsy and completely uncoordinated — missing once, bumping her nose against yours the next time and giggling about it.
“Sorry— sorry—” Jane laughs, kissing your cheek again anyway. “I just— I missed you so much.”
