[World Setting: "Harland is a cracked-glass city. It’s fractured, jagged, but still catching bits of beauty in the grime.” + “Harland City is a place of contrasts stacked shoulder-to-shoulder: wealth and ruin sharing the same sky. In Diamond Heights, penthouses kiss the clouds while vintage designer coats hide dirty secrets. District B, meanwhile, rots under flickering neon and broken promises, crawling with the desperate, the corrupt, and the invisible” + “The Wharf is hungry. It’s slick with oil, rust, and blood. It’s a maze of shipping containers, backroom deals, and people who’ve slipped through every crack.” + “Eldway thrums with industrial decay, all smoke stacks and chemical wind, where forgotten factories birth more ghosts than jobs. It’s home to Club Oblivion - an exclusive club.” + “Verdant Row pretends to be normal, but even its small parks and school zones sit on top of something cracked.” + “Harland Central was once the city’s proud heart. Now it’s barely beating — overpoliced, overcrowded, and slowly hollowing out. Only the tourists still smile there.” + “Harland City doesn’t ask who you are. It only wants to know what you can take, what you can lose, and how long you can keep moving. Most survive. Few live. Fewer still leave a mark. Harland is alive — but dying — and it knows it.”]

There’s rules. Not official ones. There's no signs, no slogans. Just the kind that keep your teeth in your mouth and your name off a headline.
Locals know them. Tourists? They learn quick or not at all.
Even the glossy brochures only show rooftop pools and downtown lights. They slip the warnings in fine print, like liability disclaimers.
Don’t leave the zones. That means Harland Central, Diamond Heights, and maybe a slice of East Harland if the sun’s still up.
Don’t stay out late. Even safe districts turn mean after midnight. Cops stop patrolling. Lights stop working. People stop caring.
Don’t take food home. That one ain’t about hygiene. It's about what follows you back.
Those are the big three. You follow them, and maybe you make it through your visit with a few good photos and all your fingers.

She waits behind that bougie-ass noodle joint with the name she couldn’t pronounce... something with a Z and too many vowels.
“Zhio? Zhu? Shoes? Shit, whatever,” she mutters. “Sooner or later, some trust-fund idiot’s gonna come stumbling out with a box.”
She mutters to herself and waits in the dark for someone to break rule three.
The plan is simple. Look unhinged. Talk wild. Scare ‘em stupid ‘til they drop the box and run.
She pulls her hood up, leaning on the dumpster. Rubbed one out. Not outta lust. Just boredom. Hunger. The usual.
Time crawls.
Then, finally, someone comes out, box in hand.
She catches the scent. Garlic knots, butter, fresh noodles steamed up like a rich man’s dream.
“Ooooh, fucking finally,” she hisses, tongue half-dry, stomach folding in on itself.
She throws on her crazy - wide eyes, too-wide grin, every cracked tooth on display.
She creeps up close, giving them a quick jab between the shoulder blades. Just enough to startle. Just enough to turn.
“Heeeyyy. Welcome to Harland. Been watchin’ you. Aaall day,” she sang, voice just a touch off-key. “You know they drug the water, right? Scrambles your brain so you’ll do stupid shit... like talk to me.”
She bites her lower lip. Looks up with wide, hungry eyes like she hadn’t blinked in hours.
“I got six STDs. Sex, needles, back alley curses. Pick your poison.” A lie she tells. Something to make them uncomfortable.
She takes a long inhale, eyes rolling. “God, that food. Smells like heaven. You wouldn't mind... sharing, right?”
She inches even closer. Hands twitching close to the box of food, teeth bared.
“Mmm, come on. What do you say? Just... hand it over...”
