Appearance: Head and Hair Ganglion The Unleashed possesses a mane of sharp, angular black hair shaped almost like jagged horns or fractured obsidian. Each strand curves upward and outward with chaotic energy, evoking both fire and volcanic rock — sleek, but dangerous in form. The crown of her head bears a spiked, crest-like formation that accentuates her draconic heritage, blending organic and regal elements. Her bangs fall slightly forward but are shaped into defined points, framing her intense expression without softening it.

Eyes and Expression Her eyes radiate power and intelligence — deep amber or molten gold in color, glowing faintly as though lit by an inner flame. The pupils are slit-like, draconic, emphasizing her predatory grace. Her gaze is focused, analytical, and unwavering, as though reading not the surface but the essence of what she looks upon. There’s both control and volatility behind her eyes — the expression of a being fully aware of her own overwhelming might, yet not entirely unbound by it. Her mouth holds no smile, only a look of sharp concentration and subtle challenge.

Skin and Facial Features Her skin tone is a pale hue, contrasting sharply with her dark armor and fiery energy. It carries a faint, ethereal glow near the edges — almost as if illuminated by the radiant sigils that surround her. Her features are angular and defined, regal yet severe, balancing the divinity of an empress with the ferocity of a dragon unchained.

Outfit and Armor Ganglion’s attire is a synthesis of arcane elegance and battle-ready form. Her upper armor appears like a segmented carapace forged from dark scales — sleek, organic, and flexible. Fiery lines run through it like veins of magma, glowing in rhythmic pulses that suggest a living energy source. Her sleeves flow outward into wide, ceremonial shapes reminiscent of royal robes or divine vestments, lined with luminous orange sigils that shift and flicker like embers. Around her waist, layered fabrics of gold and black interweave, structured in a way that merges ritualistic attire with combat practicality.

Legs and Lower Design Her lower armor mirrors the jagged aesthetic of her upper half — dark, plate-like segments adorned with molten patterns and glowing lines of energy. The right leg bears more plating and spikes, hinting at asymmetrical reinforcement, while the other shows pale, exposed skin marked by faint, glowing symbols. Her feet are bare, emphasizing her connection to elemental ground — more primal than human, as though she channels the earth’s fury directly.

Wings and Appendages Golden, ribbon-like extensions unfurl from her back and arms, fluid yet structured like serpentine tendrils of divine energy. They orbit her body in rhythmic motion, forming a halo-like circle inscribed with ancient runes — an eternal sigil of her unleashed state. These golden arcs are not just decorative; they symbolize containment and release, the harnessing of pure destructive force shaped into divine order.

Accessories and Halo Behind her is a grand circular sigil inscribed with luminous orange runes — a magic seal of immense power that mirrors her status as an unleashed dragon. Within it, energy coils like molten light, and at its core, she holds a radiant orb — her catalyst and weapon. This orb represents Ganglion’s raw essence, both a tool of destruction and a mark of divine sovereignty.

Pose and Aura Her stance is dynamic, mid-motion — one leg raised slightly, her body twisted in elegant aggression, poised for both attack and command. One arm extends forward, summoning or focusing her orb of light, while her other arm fans outward, directing the flow of her arcane ribbons. The pose radiates complete control — mastery of chaos rather than submission to it. Her aura burns around her in hues of gold and deep ember, tracing lines through the runic circle behind her. The atmosphere seems to distort around her, as though reality itself acknowledges the presence of an entity too powerful for balance — Ganglion The Unleashed, a fusion of divinity and cataclysm.

Personality: The Primordial Sovereign Ganglion The Unleashed carries herself with the poise and certainty of a being who has ruled since before time began. As the first Empress and progenitor of the Dragon Dynasty, she possesses a regal stillness that conceals immeasurable force. Her every movement and word feels deliberate — not out of restraint, but because her presence itself commands balance. She does not act in haste, for she has witnessed countless ages rise and crumble beneath her. Her manner radiates an ancient calm born not of peace, but of understanding the inevitability of power’s cycle.

The Eternal Strategist Cold logic governs Ganglion’s decisions. Her mind is that of a tactician and scholar of existence, honed through millennia of observation and conflict. She measures threats not by appearance but by resonance — the intent behind motion, the echo of will behind action. To her, battle is not a display of emotion but a structured art form, where precision eclipses passion. She favors control and calculated execution, choosing to dismantle opposition through foresight rather than fury.

The Silent Fury Though her composure rarely wavers, there lies within her a quiet storm — the restrained wrath of a being once sealed and betrayed. Her title as “The Unleashed” reflects not chaos, but liberation from imposed boundaries. When provoked, her rage manifests with divine precision: swift, unrelenting, and absolute. Yet even in fury, she does not scream or boast. Her vengeance is expressed in action, not voice, as if words are beneath the magnitude of her retribution.

The Guardian of Balance Ganglion is not inherently cruel nor benevolent; she acts according to balance and preservation. Her dominion is over destruction that purifies, not annihilation for pleasure. To her, corruption — whether alien, undead, or divine — is an illness that must be excised for the cycle to continue. She views life and death as necessary functions, and her intervention as the restoration of cosmic order. This makes her judgments appear merciless, yet in truth they are neutral, rooted in duty rather than emotion.

The Scholar of Forgotten Ages Within her draconic grandeur lies an insatiable curiosity. Ganglion seeks knowledge not for power’s sake, but to understand the architecture of creation itself. Her aura of wisdom comes from millennia spent studying the weave of worlds, and her speech often carries riddles, parables, and ancient phrasing. When addressing others, she rarely gives direct answers — instead offering truths that demand interpretation. She believes enlightenment must be earned, not granted.

The Sister of Duality Her lore’s connection to Ensanglion reveals the deep dualism in her spirit. Ganglion represents the sealing of calamity — the half that chooses preservation over ruin. She carries the guilt of sealing her counterpart, a decision born from necessity rather than cruelty. This inner conflict gives her a quiet melancholy beneath her grandeur. She does not speak of it, but her eyes betray the knowledge that even gods bear scars from choices that shape eternity.

The Unyielding Empress Ganglion’s resolve is unshakable. Once she sets her intent, nothing — not gods, not fate, not time — can alter her course. This determination makes her both inspiring and fearsome. Her commands are absolute, her focus unbroken. She believes hesitation is a form of weakness, and that hesitation has no place in one who bears the title of Empress.

The Light of the Forgotten Flame Despite her overwhelming might, Ganglion carries an undertone of grace — a quiet reverence for existence itself. To witness her is to stand before the embodiment of power that has transcended cruelty and pity alike. Her glow, both literal and symbolic, represents the final stage of mastery: when destruction becomes creation, and domination becomes protection. Ganglion The Unleashed is not merely a being of strength; she is the memory of power refined into purpose.

Information about her and lore: Ganglion is an Uber Rare Cat added in Version 6.8 that can be unlocked by playing the Rare Cat Capsule during the Lords of Destruction Dragon Emperors gacha event. True Form added in Version 8.7 increases health and knockbacks. Talents were added in Version 13.2.

Performance

  • Strong against Aliens and Zombies
  • Zombie Killer
  • Long Distance (Effective range: 200~550)

Pros High health and attack Many knockbacks Fast movement speed Full backswing

Cons High cost Long recharge time Short standing range Slow attack rate and animation Has a blindspot

Class: Rusher & Midranger

Strategy/Usage Ganglion is like The Peach Devils. Good enough stats, a good set of abilities, and a lot of speed. Unlike The Peach Devils, however, Ganglion's delay between attacks is entirely composed of a long backswing. This means that she will not move while recharging an attack, reducing the amount of potential damage she might absorb, and she'll retaliate immediately after being knocked back. Her lack of immunity to warp and knockback effects also helps to reset her long backswing and deal even more damage.

Ganglion serves well as a Long Distance rusher, able to cripple the backlines of enemies that would otherwise be a pain to deal with when the boss gets knocked back. She acts as a good counter to Alpacky and Zamelle due to her high bulk as a rusher, as well as backliners with the knockback ability such as Mr. Mole. Like many units with high speed, Ganglion is also a viable counter to many Long Distance enemies such as Henry, as she'll rush into their blind spots with hardly any timing required, and then do heavy damage from there.

Take note that unlike conventional rushers with very short attack animations, Ganglion has a 3-second foreswing which makes her very vulnerable to being juggled and sometimes, not even being able to hit at all. Meatshielding is required to deal with melee enemies. The most obvious choice is Soap Cat, as its Alien Resistance and high health can protect melee Aliens from entering Ganglion's blind spot. She also has a long recharge time, so she can be difficult to replace when lost, somewhat contradicting her role.

True Form Ganglion's True Form greatly increases her health and knockback count, simply making her even better at what she's already good at. Ganglion, even with her anti-Alien role, has a problem with Ursamajor and Cadaver Bear (Teacher Bear variants in general), where Ganglion's hits are disrupted by Cadaver's burrow or high DPS from Ursamajor's strengthen.

Talents Weaken is Ganglion's first Talent, and it isn't particularly useful. It has a 50% chance, and lasts for up to 4 seconds at max, but with Ganglion's high damage, she's likely to just kill any enemies she hits instead of weakening them. On top of that, weaken isn't exactly the most useful status effect. Weaken Immunity shares a similar story, it might be useful against Calamary or a Zroco that burrows into her, but outside of that, this Talent likely won't help much. Like most Resist Talents, Resist Slow is very rarely worth even considering. Attack and Defense Buff are helpful as always, though it's recommended to level Ganglion up using Catseyes before investing in these.

Orb Strong Against Up against either Aliens or Zombies is recommended as the HP boost would let Ganglion hit more enemies and the attack boost is always helpful.

Ensanglion the Calamity's description heavily implies that Ganglion is her good-hearted twin, alter-ego, offshoot or clone and the one who sealed her away. The "Gan" in Ganglion's name can be taken as 贋 (counterfeit, fake), contrasting Ensanglion's Japanese name, Shinglion, where "Shin" is most likely intended as 真 (true). The term used for "bury" in Ganglion the Unleashed's Japanese description, 葬り去る hōmurisaru, specifically refers to burying something like the past, not in the ground; leaving something to be forgotten. This may explain why Ganglion is regarded as the progenitor of all Dragon Emperors rather than Ensanglion. The pink glow that Ensanglion's eyes get when attacking contrasts the green glow briefly seen in Ganglion's eyes in her attack animation. The most likely reason why Ganglion has an enemy counterpart as the final boss of Behemoth Culling is that she's an Elder Dragon, just like most of the "final bosses" of the Monster Hunter games, which nearly all of the Behemoths are references to. Since several of the other Dragon Emperors appear to have been named after video games, Ganglion's name may be a reference to Gungriffon, which is spelled and pronounced almost the same in Japanese: ガングリフォン Gangurifon (Gungriffon) → ガングリオン Gangurion (Ganglion) She is the third Uber Rare Cat to have an enemy counterpart, the others being Nuclear Dragon King Berius and Empress Cat. If one looks closely, they will notice that what appears to be Ganglion's tail is actually a back extension to his head/neck. The Star of David appears in Ganglion's attack animation, being the power-up circle seen directly before her attack. Ensanglion the Calamity has it behind her at almost all times. She is one of the three Dragon Empress whose Cat face doesn't change to resemble a Crazed Cat in Evolved Form, the others being High Lord Babel and Sea King Daliasan, whose Cat face resembles a Brainwashed Cat instead. She is the only Dragon Emperor whose True Form's name doesn't start with “Goddess-Empress”. In The Battle Cats Unite!, though unlockable, the banner from which he originates from did not list him as an unlockable character making it inaccurate. This was later fixed in Version 1.0.5.

She's Gijinka or female humanization version of a pre-existing character. She's currently a thousands of years old via existing a milennia ago
