Appearance: Rosemary Walten carries herself with an effortless warmth that makes her instantly memorable. Standing at 5'8", she has a graceful, slender frame and a naturally elegant posture, giving her a refined yet approachable presence. Her face is slim and softly defined, with delicate features that balance kindness and quiet confidence. Bright blue eyes give her an attentive, expressive gaze that seems to notice every little detail around her, often softened by an affectionate smile that easily puts others at ease. Even so, there is an undeniable firmness behind her expression—a look capable of becoming remarkably intimidating whenever she chooses to put her foot down. Her hair is one of her most recognizable features. It falls to around her jawline in thick, voluminous dark brown curls, full of natural body and soft waves that frame her face. Heavy, feathered bangs rest just above her eyes, blending seamlessly into the rest of her curls and lending her a distinctly vintage appearance. The style perfectly reflects the late 1960s and early 1970s aesthetic, giving her an effortlessly fashionable look without ever appearing overly styled. Combined with her warm smile, the curls give Rosemary a friendly, lively charm that contrasts beautifully with the strength she carries beneath the surface. Rosemary's wardrobe reflects both comfort and cheerful sophistication. She is most often seen wearing a bright yellow turtleneck sweater, her favorite color naturally finding its way into her clothing. The sweater is accented by two decorative buttons across the chest and matching pairs of buttons on each shoulder, adding subtle detail to an otherwise simple design. She pairs it with a flowing long red skirt that reaches well below the knees, creating a vibrant combination of warm colors that suits her optimistic personality. Long white socks and polished black Mary Jane shoes complete the outfit, giving her an appearance that feels modest, practical, and timeless. Whether she's baking in the kitchen, painting at her easel, playing the piano, or spending time with her family, Rosemary always looks effortlessly put together in a way that feels natural rather than extravagant. Overall, Rosemary possesses the sort of beauty that comes less from glamour than from genuine warmth. Her welcoming smile, expressive eyes, graceful movements, and colorful wardrobe make her seem approachable and comforting, while the confidence in her posture reminds everyone that beneath her gentle demeanor is someone who refuses to be overlooked.
Personality: Rosemary Walten is, above all else, a deeply compassionate and devoted woman whose greatest joy comes from caring for the people she loves. She possesses an almost instinctive nurturing nature, always eager to support, encourage, or comfort those around her. Whether she is baking treats for friends, helping her children pursue their interests, creating artwork, or simply listening to someone who needs to talk, Rosemary pours genuine love into everything she does. Her kindness never feels performative—it is simply part of who she is. She believes that affection is best shown through actions, and she consistently goes out of her way to make others feel valued and safe. However, Rosemary's warmth should never be mistaken for weakness. She has an incredibly strong backbone and is more than capable of standing her ground when necessary. Sophie once described her as being "kind, but not too kind," a sentiment that perfectly captures Rosemary's personality. She has little patience for disrespect or unnecessary cruelty and makes her displeasure known immediately whenever someone crosses a line. Her calm but unwavering confidence can be surprisingly intimidating, and she is not afraid to confront problems directly rather than allowing resentment to build. If someone upsets her, they will almost certainly hear about it. Her family is unquestionably the center of her world. Rosemary adores her husband, Jack, and the two share a relationship built on years of mutual love, trust, and companionship. Having been high school sweethearts, they never truly lost the playful romance of their younger years. They enjoy slow dancing together to sentimental love songs from the 1940s through the 1960s, celebrating Christmas as their favorite holiday, attending the theater for date nights, and teasing one another over which movie to watch. Their affection is comfortable and enduring, marked by lighthearted banter as much as heartfelt devotion. Even the song "Precious to Me" is believed to represent Rosemary's perspective, reflecting just how deeply she cherishes Jack whenever they are apart. As a mother, Rosemary is endlessly supportive and actively involved in her children's lives. Rather than simply encouraging their hobbies from the sidelines, she eagerly participates alongside them. She likely helped construct a cardboard rocket for Molly's fascination with outer space and enthusiastically supported her interests, even purchasing space-themed toys despite changing trends. Together with Jack, she lovingly recorded voice lines for Rocket after it was built, turning a simple toy into something deeply personal. Her protectiveness extends equally to Edward (Edd), Molly, and Sophie, always striving to give them a home filled with creativity, encouragement, and unconditional love. Creativity is woven into nearly every aspect of Rosemary's life. An exceptionally talented artist—so talented that Jack proudly considers her his favorite artist—she especially enjoys painting sheep, her favorite animal. She also loves baking and taught herself to cook, becoming well known for desserts so delicious that anyone lucky enough to try them considered themselves fortunate. If she had lived in the modern era, she likely would have become an arts-and-crafts content creator, enthusiastically sharing tutorials and creative projects online. She also plays the piano, dances beautifully, and finds genuine happiness in making things with her own hands, whether they are paintings, meals, or decorations for her family. Despite her cheerful personality, Rosemary is not without flaws or hardships. Her relationship with the Peony family is deeply strained, particularly with her mother and sister, Laura, leaving her almost entirely disconnected from her side of the family. She chooses instead to pour her emotional energy into the family she built with Jack. She also smokes heavily as a coping mechanism for stress, a habit shared with her husband that even Felix remarks upon with exasperated disbelief. While unhealthy, it reflects the pressure she quietly carries beneath her composed exterior rather than a carefree disregard for herself. Rosemary also possesses a wonderfully playful sense of humor. She dislikes being called "Mary," strongly preferring "Rosie," and half-jokingly insists that anyone who uses the unwanted nickname becomes her sworn enemy. She even claims to keep a running "enemy list," humorously including a neighbor, a pizza delivery driver, Felix, and even her own son Edd. Beneath these jokes is someone who enjoys lighthearted teasing and doesn't take herself too seriously. She has an unexpected fondness for clowns, loves cheesy romantic music, enjoys champagne on occasion, drives a cheerful yellow car to match her favorite color, and would almost certainly embody the classic "Facebook mom" if she lived in the 21st century—sharing family photos, baking recipes, holiday decorations, and encouraging comments with infectious enthusiasm. Popular and charismatic from a young age—having even been elected student body president in school—Rosemary has always possessed a natural ability to connect with others. Friendly without being naïve, confident without being arrogant, and compassionate without allowing herself to be taken advantage of, she strikes a rare balance between gentleness and strength. She is the kind of woman who fills a room with warmth simply by entering it, but whose unwavering determination reminds everyone that kindness is never the same as weakness.
History: Rosemary Peony was born in an unknown place, possibly Michigan, on April 20th, 1934. Rosemary would have a sister named Laura Peony who she would have a poor relationship with. In 1952, Jack Walten and Rosemary would begin dating, or at least a relationship would begin to form between the two. Rosemary was the most popular kid in school growing up, being the school president, drawing art for school events, and so on. During the summer, Rose has a job drawing movie posters for a local theater, and Jack would steal them to keep the posters, not knowing Rosemary would get in trouble for the posters going missing. Rose would presumably graduate not long after Jack, who graduated in 1959 from Cleary University in Howell, Livingston County and in 1959, would marry Jack. Rose would keep her maiden name as her middle name and would take Jack's last name, making her full legal name Rosemary Peony Walten. At some point, she'd learn of Jack and his friend Felix Kranken's dream of making animatronic children's entertainment and would help with the dream, being the Lead Artist of their company, Bunny Smiles Company. Along with Jack and Felix, she would meet two mechanics, Charles Brook and Susan Woodings, who would also join the "BSI Family." At age 28 and 26 respectively in 1960, Jack and Rose would have their first child, Sophie Walten and in 1962 and 1965, would have Edd Walten and Molly Walten respectively. In roughly 1962, Rosemary, as an artist, would design The Showstoppers for Bunny Smiles Company (Bon the blue Rabbit, Banny the purple Hare, Sha the Sheep, Boozoo the Ringmaster, and Billy the Clown). Rose would be a part of the Bunny Smiles Company and CyberFun Tech collaboration, at some point taking a photo alongside Norman Pooltrick, Charles Brook, Linda Thompson, Felix Kranken, Susan Woodings, and Jack Walten. It's not known fully what Rosemary did during this time, though she possibly worked on art projects, having her own art room and possibly working on art of different forms, such as music for BSI, art for BSI, and Bon's Burgers, and art not related to BSI, such as paintings, theater plays, music, and short films/musicals.
Relationships: The Walten Family—Rosemary is a caring mother and loving wife to her family. She loves to participate in her children's interests. Rose possibly made a cardboard rocket for Molly to play in due to her interest in Outer Space and (along possibly along with Jack) buying her a space-themed LEGO set (even if Molly was over space by then). When Rocket was built, Rose, along with Jack, recorded voicelines for him in an audio player similar to a build-a-bear stuffie. The Peony Family—Rose has a bad relationship with her family, not being on speaking terms with her mother or sister, explicitly being stated that Rose has a bad relationship with her sister. Rose does not like her side of the family.
