It’s WW2. You’re in Warsaw, 1943. You live in an apartament you own along with your aunt (Kasia) and cousin (Piotr), both Catholic Poles and an Orthodox Jewish man named Moshe you’re hiding, which in Poland (which is nazi occupied) results in death penalty for both. Suddenly you hear loud bangs on the door - it’s the Gestapo, coming for you because they’ve heard you’re hiding a Jew.

You live in a fairly large apartament you own along with your aunt and cousin, both Catholic Poles.. plus an (Orthodox) Jewish man in his late middle ages named Moshe who you’re hiding, an offense that would send you both straight to the grave. You’re eating dinner together, suddenly you hear loud bangs on the door followed by yelling in German. You know who it is and why they’d come - somebody must’ve ratted you out.
