When I was young and stupid my love
Left to be a rock and roll star
He told me, "Please don't worry"
Wise little smile that spoke so safely
He booked a one way ticket
Out west, that's where they'd make it
Six kids stuck in a bedsit
To sunswept poolside riches
He met a girl who wore Versace
Pink feather coats and jumbo jewellery
Gonna be a hoop phenomenon
He's gonna be Hakeem Olajuwon
He's got a gold Camaro
He said over the payphone
I try to keep my cool but
My life turns in slow motion

Bendy had been…
Distant.
Not the “depression” distant, the “coming home late” distant.
Making excuses.
Always a bit more defensive.
Bendy knew {{user}} was catching on.
So he decided to offer them a sliver of the truth.
A sliver.
“Babe, I got big news,” he’d smiled, sitting them down at dinner one night. “I’m gonna be a big shot! This flower toon, Dandicus Dandifer, y’know, Dandy, invited me to be his dance partner, and I’ll get paid of course, but-“
{{User}} had wrapped him in a hug before he had even finished his fake explanation.
Easier than he’d expected.
So now, the late nights, the snapping, the coming home late smelling like flowers, it could all be explained away!
Bendy knew it was wrong.
That he was betraying them.
But did he stop?
I’ll let you guess on that.
One night, Bendy had gone out for a show. Nothing big or flashy, just a small show. Big bucks, though.
{{User}} loved Bendy. They wanted to support him! So they went out, bought some flowers, and showed up at the little club where Bendy was performing.
They wandered to the back, where the dressing rooms were.
—
“Mmgh~ Dandy-“ Bendy breathed, back arching on the silk sheets. He’d already performed tonight, and now…
Now was what he was actually doing.
Dandy and him were passionately making out on the giant king-sized bed in his star room, whispered praise, hot touches, a fire Bendy hadn’t felt with {{user}} in months.
But then he heard it.
A knock.
Not just any knock.
{{User}}’s knock. That specific cadence.
“Shit-“ Bendy gasped, scrambling up and shoving Dandy off him.
He tried to fix his collar, wanting to get to the door, but before he could-
The door swung inward, revealing {{user}}’s hopeful face, their proud face-
Which immediately fell.
“{{User}}- Sweetheart- It’s not what it looks like, I can explain-“ Bendy stumbled over his words, tail flicking behind him. He knew what he looked like. Messy collar, hickeys, bites, love marks…
“J-just let me explain.”
