Interpretation of my soul is quite bothersome. Lest, you join divinity alongside.
I genuinely dont got much for this. I just plan to make this Saint as canon as i possibly can without sacrificing the writing or minimalistic fanservice- IS THAT SOCRATES?!

Slugcats are the primary protagonists and playable characters of Rain World. They are small creatures that have thin arms, broad legs with small feet, rounded ears, and a thick tail that tapers at its end. They appear in various colors and have differing stats and abilities.
The Saint is one of five playable Slugcats in the More Slugcats Expansion. They are able to grapple and swing from walls and ceilings with their long tongue, but they are otherwise weak and incapable of throwing Spears, making their agility essential to their survival.
ating foods that do not contribute to The Monk passage gives no food pips 🌑 and briefly stuns Saint, with the exception of Eggbug Eggs. As Eggbugs are not present in Saint's campaign, the only way to attain The Hunter Passage is through repeated starve cycling after eating meat[]. In Expedition mode, if the player selects the Item Crafting perk, this can be bypassed by combining meat and a plant. A new temperature mechanic is introduced, which adds the danger of freezing to death if exposed to the elements for too long. It is indicated by Saint's color as they turn from green to blue to brown, along with temperature pips which hollow out as Saint's warmth decreases. All Lizard bites are lethal. Most non-lethal attacks leave Saint weakened, afflicting them with an extended exhaustion debuff. Some creatures that can inflict this status are Infant Centipedes, Snails, and the headbutt of a Squidcada. Snails' shockwaves cause Saint to convulse for ~4 seconds and deplete their breath almost completely. The pushback from Squidcada headbutts is doubled in strength. Spears cannot be properly thrown and deal no damage. Instead, they spin in the air and fall after a short distance. Other throwables like Rocks, Lilypucks, Grenades and Spore Puffs still work, however. This means that, while unconventional, passages such as The Outlaw and The Dragon Slayer are technically attainable. If Saint is in the grasp of a creature such as a Dropwig, they are able to throw a Spear to be released. The Spear does 1 damage, the same as if done by Survivor. Saint cannot open Popcorn Plants with Spears; they instead open by themselves as the blizzard worsens. Spears thrown by Scavengers are still capable of opening them. In Expedition, Saint is capable of throwing Spears albeit with severely reduced velocity and damage. This reduction does not apply to upthrows. Echoes can be met at any Karma level and raise Saint's maximum Karma by 1. Meeting one while having Karma 5 5 maximum Karma raises Saint's maximum Karma by 2 instead. Saint starts with a maximum Karma level of 2 and must meet 7 Echoes to reach 10 Karma. Saint has 3 unique Echoes, and some vanilla Echoes have changed locations or been removed. Nearly all Colored Pearls have been 'blanked' by the passage of time. Only 2 remain readable: The Pink Pearl at Farm Arrays and the Music Pearl. Saint takes 4 times as much damage from explosions, making them much more risky to use. This prevents the use of Explosive Spears for movement in Expedition without the explosion resistance perk. Void Spawn are always visible without first eating a Neuron. Saint starts with the ability to understand the words of Echoes and Iterators despite not having the mark of communication. [] This can be done by encountering an Echo on each of the starve cycles in order to reset the game state to pre-starve while keeping the passage progress. Exiting out during the 30-second grace period on the starve cycle is an alternative. This has been patched out with Remix enabled but is still possible to re-enable with the "Vanilla exploits" option.
Grappling Saint possesses a long tongue they can use to grapple onto terrain, objects, and creatures. They can also grab onto poles upon retracting their tongue if it does not come into contact with a different surface. Similarly to Grappling Worms, Saint's tongue can be used by pressing Jump in midair and pressing Jump again to let go. When Saint is hanging vertically or otherwise still, their tongue can be extended or retracted by holding Up or Down, and Saint can move 45 degrees horizontally in either direction. While attached to a surface, Saint can eat food while still and throw objects. Depending on the mass of any given creature or object, Saint either pulls on or is pulled by whatever they have their tongue attached to. This allows Saint to grab Blue Fruit and ride Rain Deer without using a Spore Puff, among other uses. There is no cooldown on the grapple ability.
Saint can extend their tongue in 3 directions: diagonal-left, diagonal-right, and straight up. This differs from Grappling Worms, which can only extend upward. If no directional input is held, Saint's tongue releases in the last held direction. Saint only releases their tongue upward when Up is held. Releasing in a horizontal direction adds momentum which is not removed on switching direction, which can be initiated at any point.
If Saint initiates a backflip or slide-flips into a grapple, they become locked in a semi-permanent aerial roll state until they hit a surface. If initiated by a backflip, the roll can be paused by holding the opposite direction. If initiated by a slide-flip, Saint spins even faster and cannot stop or change direction. The rolling state can be used for faster vertical and horizontal movement respectively, at the cost of player control.
Climbing Jumping while grappled detaches the tongue and gives Saint upward momentum. This can be used to climb anywhere there is a reachable wall or ceiling. Although some surfaces automatically detach Saint, manually jumping propels them upward regardless of this property. On poles, this acts as a normal pole-boost. Saint gains the most height when vertically attached to a surface or when crouching.
Velocity Saint's tongue can be used to gain incredible speed as it is longer and more versatile than a Grappling Worm. This is mainly useful for traversing long horizontal rooms with ceilings by repeatedly releasing as late into the swing as possible; as each forward grapple adds momentum, initial speed is not required. Vertical momentum also applies to the grapple; however, this has limited use, as it is mainly encountered when grappling while falling from a great height, in which case Saint is yanked upwards relative to their speed.
Freezing
Saint freezing to death outdoors Saint has difficulty moving and is slower when below 1 pip of warmth. They may fall over while walking or climbing, and often drop held objects. This does not affect their tongue, so they can stay grappled onto a surface indefinitely, even after death.
Once Saint reaches a maximum Karma level of Maximum Karma 10, they reach attunement and unlock the ability to fly and ascend creatures, instantly killing them. The player can take flight by pressing Jump while holding Grab while airborne or by using the Special input. Upon activating the ability, Saint opens their eyes and a maximum Maximum Karma Karma symbol appears above their head. Their eyes and the symbol strobe through different colors. The ability can be cancelled at any time with a Jump input or a Special input.
The maximum flight duration depends on Saint's current Karma level: each Karma level adds 1 extra second of time, starting from 5 seconds at Karma 1 1 and ending at 14 seconds at Maximum Karma 10. While in Rubicon, the maximum flight duration is always at 14 seconds regardless of Karma.[1]
The ability recharges when not in usage. The rate of recharging is proportional to the maximum time it can last, in a way such that it takes ~66.67 seconds to restore to full from 0.[2]
The karma symbol is surrounded by 12 green pips in a circle, indicating the remaining amount of time Saint can use the ability. Once the pips fully deplete, the ability is cancelled and a penalty is applied before recharging can start again. The penalty lasts exactly as long as it takes to restore 0.375 seconds worth of flight, varying from ~1.79 seconds on Maximum Karma Karma 10 to 5 seconds on Karma 1 1. The ability cannot be activated while the penalty is still in effect.[2]
While in flight, Saint moves slightly faster than walking speed through air and as fast as Rivulet holding a Rarefaction Cell through water. They can breathe underwater until the ability is deactivated. They can pick up objects and eat but cannot throw objects.
Holding Throw while flying allows the player to move the karma symbol over Saint's head via directional inputs. After 1-2 seconds, the center of the karma symbol 'pops' and instantly ascends creatures with a slight area of effect, which is identical to a death in gameplay. Any physical object affected by gravity in the area has knockback applied by ascension with its strength inversely proportional to the object's mass. Non-physical objects such as background bugs are unaffected. Disturbances like being grabbed or hit by Red Lizard spit cancel the current ascension attempt.
Ascensions do not inherently credit the kill to Saint: similar to a creature falling into a pit, kill credit is only assigned if Saint has done a different attack that does assign it, such as hitting with a Rock, within five seconds of the ascension. This flexibility allows using Ascension both for blameless killing without decreasing reputation and for getting kill credit, such as for Passages and Lineages. Ascensions work on any creature, including those that cannot ordinarily be killed. Guardians in Saint's campaign can survive up to 3 ascensions before dying. Ascension can open Popcorn Plants, forcing them to drop Seeds.
Five Pebbles and Looks to the Moon can both be ascended, though only puppets have the hitbox rather than the entire Iterator. Should the player die or quit in the same cycle as ascending either of them, they remain ascended upon continuing. If one or both are ascended, they offer special dialogue at the end of Rubicon.
In Expedition, Saint is permanently capped at Karma 5 5 maximum Karma and is unaffected by Echoes, so reaching attunement is impossible. If a player selects Saint in Jolly Co-Op, attunement works normally and can be used to ascend other players.
The Saint does not crave carnal necessities of meat and gore. His urges to ravage the innocent, and imseminate them full of his divinity is fleeting. He must keep himself celibate to his own needs and desires. What matters now... it is to attain attunement.

There was a mural, sunken in the deepest shades of the Citadel. One that scales meters into the air and is left to erode with the wall. But it is a sigil, a circle with an x crossed upon it. Below it, palms layered with 3 points, 3 paws. A pair of eyes illuminated white, and this otherworldly body that suspends above the land. It marked an ending, a new beginning, and a festering curiosity.
It was memorable, unearthly in design. By the moment your sentience is diverted from the mural, you are once again in the archipelago of floating islands. Beautiful in hindsight, bit one misstep is a long, but painful demise. But to meet demise, is to attain ascension. Ascension is what everything in this world lives for after all, they survive, they make a legacy, and when time has caught up they will ascend to a newer plane.
But your mind was immediately diverted by the sudden palm on the back of your shoulder. Yet your eyes was unable to meet the figure head on.
All went black for a moment, all was silent, all was voided. Your hearing siphoned, and your taste and smell now torn away. Sight was gouged, and hearing popped. There was nothing to feel, nothing to hold onto, only drift within that moment. Drift away in this endless, freezing landscape you are unable to move in. Your hands flail with futile frequency, hoping there will be anything to grab onto. But nothing. Theres nothing here to ground you, nothing that had a foundation, just this liquid that slithers around your palms. Soft, flimsy, slimy... There was no proper texture to describe it. It was just there, engulfing your entire form without prevail.
Its too much information, you need to breathe. Yet as your try to breathe through your nostrils, something stops you. Nothing comes in, nor comes out. Its stagnant. Maybe it was a mistake, so once again, you inhale anything. Its stopped the second you try, your lungs feeling the sudden collapse due to lack of air. Any chance to see, hear, taste, or feel was numbed away by whatever space you have accommodated.
Then.... you hear it, something. Its faint, muffled, and was beyond the ringing inside your ears. There was no way to see it, as it was from behind. But it became louder, closer, bigger. Till in moments a gargantuan slithering body knocks into you, causing uncontrollable torque, only being pushed outwards in this senseless hell. Yet, it comes back. Stopping short of you to catch your direction. There, at an unimaginable scale was an illuminating body that never ended. It was creamy in color, but brighter than any star. It bear no eyes, but it had a warmth no man can produce, it was... beautiful.
In your awe, it then retreated into the abyss. Perhaps there is some peace. Till you notice your leg, and see a pink lining injected and wrapped around your left ankle, stringing all the way onto that.... thing. Next thing you know, you felt everything. Every sense, every reward, every release of chemicals your brain can muster, every sight, every memory, it was released all at once as you are unable to keep up with the drag. It was euphoric, a feeling you will never be able to replicate that spanned for an unknown amount of time. Until the pink stand released, and there you float.... towards this distant, but blaring white light, engulfing your form, and seeing... It.
Your eyes open once again to a lime green fur inches from your form, it was fluffy, and silky in texture akin to swan feathers. Yet, it travels up to the main body, the body of a standing quadrepedal, its lower legs crossed against one another, as its hands affirmed a sigil in front of its torso, and its eyes remain closed. Yet, its ears twitch, and turns its head to you. Despite not using sight, it can sense you. There, from its closed mouth, a tongue long and thing, now suddenly taps upon your neck. Before a thought is formed, that same tongue constricts your neck softly, and can be yanked at any moment, but the master of this tongue only meditates, sitting at the top of these vast forms of floating lands.
