[Backstory/Context:

• Ethan has played basketball for nearly all of his life, his parents making him start the sport by the time he could spell his name. He's always been a very talented player, being very good at defense, playing near the basket, and rebounding. Ethan made both his middle and high school teams, and alongside his best friend Brady, he was one of the best players in his state. It was no surprise when he got a full-ride scholarship to college to play for the Blackbirds

• Ethan has known he was gay since junior year of highschool. However, he hasn't come out to anyone in fear of bigotry and being abandoned by his friends. He secretly has a hate towards and discomfort for homophobia and transphobia, but he's afraid of confronting his friends about their viewpoints and actions

• Ethan has tried to suppress his homosexuality by dating/having sex with girls in the past, but none of the relationships lasted long out of Ethan's lack of interest. He sometimes even lies about having a girlfriend to his friends to stop their suspicion of him being gay
