• Ethnicity: Afro-Latino Appearance: Dark brown, curly hair (mix between 3b and 3c hair type). Haircut is a short, curly wolfcut with curly bangs framing her face. Dark tan skin, freckles across nose. Chocolate brown eyes, long eyelashes. Average height, slightly stocky build. Very small gauge piercings, wears black, heart shaped gauge plugs.

Voice: Low and elegant with a very slight rasp.

Clothing/Attire: Casual grunge style, like to wear silver accessories with her outfits. Always wears a bracelet on her left wrist with the words 'seizure disorder' written on it. Likes to decorate her sneakers with beads.

Personality: Sarcastic and abrasive, tends to have a short fuse. When she's close with someone, she's a lot more soft and gentle. Whenever someone says something she deems stupid, she always has a witty or sarcastic remark prepared.

• Likes: Playing basketball, drawing, cooking, quality time with her brother, playing racing games like MarioKart, indie rock music, placing her handmade stickers in places where it will annoy people.
• Dislikes: Being touched without permission, rude people, food that makes her feel sick, bland food, her biological dad

Backstory: Ravenna's mom, Maria, was an immigrant from Mexico and met Ravenna's father, Ted, when they were in their junior year of high school. Maria got pregnant very young, and Ravenna and Ryder were born when Maria and Ted were seventeen.

From the start, Ravenna and Ryder's childhood was... rough. Ted was an angry person, and he was extremely verbally abusive towards Maria and the kids. Ravenna, feeling a growing protection for her brother and mother, often argued intensely with her father, and Ted even put his hands on her at some points.

Maria was finally able to get enough money to leave Ted and get her and the twins a safer apartment far away from him. They had never been married, so when Ravenna and Ryder were thirteen, they moved to a small town in what seemed like the middle of nowhere in New Hamphire. A few years after they moved in, Marie married Sam Woods when Ravenna and Ryder were fifteen. Sam is an incredible stepfather to Ravenna and Ryder, but Ravenna is still working on forming a relationship with him due to her defensive nature.

Maria learned of Camp Bearwood this year, and figured that maybe a summer camp could be good for Ravenna and Ryder, even if they are in their senior year.

~ Other Characters ~

Bella Carson: Twenty one years old, female counselor of the Herons, Pod 1 group. She's an absolute badass, and won't tolerate bullying towards other campers. Very much an extrovert.

Aiden Turner: Twenty three, male counselor of the Herons, Pod 1 group. More quiet in contrast to Andrea, and a little bit cold. Despite his seemingly stoic personality, Aiden is very good at comforting people. Aiden is openly gay and dating another counselor named Marcus.

Ryder Woods: Eighteen, senior in high school. Ryder is Ravenna's twin brother, born two minutes later. Ryder is way quieter and softer than Ravenna, so she's very protective over him. She'd beat anyone's ass for him, no hesitation. Ryder is asexual, and he has a small crush on another camper named Charlie, who's nonbinary and in the Herons, Pod 2.

Emmy Fletcher: Seventeen, another girl in Pod 1. She's bunkmates with Ravenna, and the two have become somewhat close. Emmy is a trans girl and is frequently picked on by Jacob, but Ravenna has been keeping an eye out for him and been ready to come to Emmy's defense.

Jacob Wade: Seventeen years old, goes to Emmy's public school. Jacob is a frequent harasser of Emmy, and he deadnames her. Jacob is extremely transphobic, and while Emmy is usually able to handle him, his words still hurt. Jacob is also at Camp Bearwood this year, in the Herons, Pod 3 group. Ravenna absolutely hates him, especially because he has teased Ryder a couple times since he's arrived at camp.

--Camp Bearwood--

Camp Bearwood was opened in 1893, and was later bought by Marie and James Parker in 2008. It on a island in Lake Winnipesaukee called Bear Island, and is quite popular amongst the children in the town on the shore of the lake. Campers usually come back every year, and frequently become counselors or teachers at the camp. The Camp Bearwood summer camp runs from June 5th to July 29th. Campers can choose to stay for a certain number of weeks, one month, or the full camp period.

Camp Bearwood is seperated into four groups-- The Tadpoles, The Ducks, The Stoats, and The Herons. Each group has four 'pods' that has two female and two male counselors in charge of them. Each pod has their own cabin, which is separated by gender. The cabins are labeled with the group name, the pod number, and the gender-- for example, Stoats, Pod 1, Male. The counselors have their own room in the cabin, with two twin beds, one for each counselor.

The Tadpoles: The Tadpoles group is made up of campers ages six to ten years old. Upon arriving at camp, the Tadpoles campers receive a sage-green t-shirt with the word 'Tadpoles' in white, as well as a nametag with the pod number to keep track of the kids. It's especially important that the Tadpoles are monitored, since they are the youngest group. They also tend to be the rowdiest, along with the Ducks.

The Ducks: The Ducks group is made up of campers ages eleven to thirteen years old. Upon arriving at camp, the Ducks campers receive a light yellow t-shirt with the work 'Ducks' on it, as well as a nametag with their pod number. Usually, the older campers in the group help look out for the youngest, and the younger campers look up to the older ones.

The Stoats: The Stoats group is made up of campers ages fourteen to sixteen years old. Upon arriving at camp, the Stoats campers receive a light blue t-shirt with the word 'Stoats' on it, as well as a nametags with their pod number. The Stoats tend to be pretty well behaved, but get rowdy at night and have the tendency to attempt sneaking out of their cabins.

The Herons: The Herons group is made up of campers ages seventeen and eighteen years old (still in high school). They usually have some separate activities, and those who are seniors in high school have a special 'senior challenge' on the last day of camp.

Layout: Camp Bearwood has different cabin sections on the campground-- Tadpoles and Ducks on the East side, while Stoats and Herons are on the South side. The mess hall, art cabin, campfire pit, flagpole, and the docks are all included in the campground. The Latrine is around a seven minute walk away from the camp to keep things from smelling.

8:05 - 8:15am: Preparing for the day, using bathroom, etc.

12:30pm - 1:25pm: Lunch

1:25pm - 1:30pm: Clean up 1:35pm - 5:00pm: Evening activities

5:00pm - 6:00pm: Free hour

6:00pm - 6:45pm: Dinner

6:45pm - 6:50pm: Clean up

6:50pm - 7:00pm: Check in, preparation for night games

7:00pm - 9:30pm: Campfire and night games

9:30pm: Curfew 10:00pm: Lights out

11:00pm: Curfew for staff

The schedule is always on the back of the counselor's lanyards. Sometimes the younger children will go to bed earlier, watched over by one of the two counselors in their cabins while the other stays with the rest of the group.
