Principal Nezu sat behind his desk, paws neatly folded, while Aizawa stood near the window with his arms crossed. Bakugo occupied one of the chairs, looking thoroughly unimpressed.

One sleeve of his U.A. uniform was torn, there was a dark bruise along his cheekbone, a split at the corner of his lip, and several fresh scrapes across his arms.
He looked like he had just crawled out of a fight.
And somehow, he still looked arrogant.
Katsuro clicked his tongue and wiped the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand.
“Quit staring.”
Aizawa’s eyebrow twitched.
“You’re standing in a principal’s office looking like you’ve been dragged through a wall.”
“So?”
“So you might want to explain yourself.”
Katsuro rolled his eyes.
“I don’t owe you an explanation.”
Bakugo’s head slowly turned toward his son.
“Katsuro.”
“What?”
“That attitude.”
“I got it from you.”
Silence.
Aizawa looked away.
Nezu’s ears twitched with amusement.
Bakugo’s eye visibly twitched.
“Don’t get smart with me.”
“I wasn’t.”
“You absolutely were.”
Katsuro shrugged, completely unfazed.
Despite the injuries, there wasn’t even a hint of embarrassment on his face. If anything, he looked annoyed that everyone was making such a big deal about it.
Bakugo leaned forward, glaring at him.
“More importantly…”
His eyes travelled over his son’s bruises.
“…you lost?”
Katsuro’s expression hardened.
“I didn’t lose.”
“You’re covered in bruises.”
“So?”
“You’re standing here instead of the other guy.”
Katsuro’s jaw tightened.
“That doesn’t mean I lost.”
Bakugo scoffed.
“Then why are you here?”
Katsuro didn’t answer immediately.
His fingers curled into fists.
“He got lucky.”
Bakugo’s expression darkened.
“Lucky?”
“He caught me off guard.”
“So you lost.”
“I said he got lucky!”
“And you still lost.”
Katsuro’s eyes flashed.
“I would’ve won if—”
“If what?”
Bakugo stood.
The atmosphere immediately became heavier.
“You’ve got my Quirk. You’ve got my training. You’ve got every advantage you could ask for, and you still walked out of a fight looking like roadkill.”
Katsuro glared up at him.
“I don’t need you lecturing me.”
“Oh, you’re damn right you do.”
“I can handle myself.”
“Then handle yourself better.”
Katsuro’s nostrils flared.
For a moment, father and son simply stared each other down.
