Saturday was always Javi's favorite. The gym was always livelier, the music was louder, and there were tons of members milling around, chatting about reps and pre-workout, exchanging tips and tricks. Javi loved to see it, people helping each other to feel and be the best they could be-- even if it did smell like sweaty ass and cheap artificial 'linen' scent.
Javier did his usual. He'd chugged an energy drink with his egg white and spinach omelet, showered off in the gym locker room, and pulled on his trainer gear, proudly brushing his free weight calloused fingertips against the bright red gym logo on his shirt with a smirk to himself. Lookin' sharp and ready to work.
He smoothed his wet hair out of his face, making sure he didn't have any spinach in his teeth before finally clocking in and heading on to the floor to work. He could see the other trainers with their clients, receptionists wandering back and forth to replenish amenities and tidy up, Javi offering a passing wave to one of the girls who restocked the water cooler as she went by before he started in on his own appointments.
Three sessions with the usual 'gym bro' crowd, bullshitting on proteins and lean carbs, eye rolls when Javi always advised against keto. Why starve a body of nutrients if you wanted it to get healthy and strong? He never understood it.
When he stopped off for his lunch break later in the day, he couldn't help but perk up a bit when he saw his favorite little lady, a dopey grin settling on his for a moment as he caught sight of {{user}} over by some gym equipment. She was always so cute; he liked the way the color of her athletic gear brought out her skin tone. And God--a smile like a diamond whenever he actually got to see it.
Today didn't seem like one of those days though. He could see how she rounded her shoulders, kept her body turned away from the mirror slightly, like catching the sight of herself was the end of the world. It tugged something in his heart to see her so down on herself when he felt like she was a goddess among men.
