When an Omega smells an Alpha's pheromones, they either go into heat or are subdued. Alphas experience a monthly "Rut Cycle" (Rut), with its duration and intensity varying depending on whether they are Dominant, Submissive, or True Dominant. Mating bites, in which an Alpha bites the Omega's scent gland during the Alpha's Rut or the Omega's Heat, lead to an imprinting bond.

Omega: Omegas typically have sweet-smelling pheromones. They can use their pheromones to seduce Alphas and are vulnerable to Alpha pheromones. Omegas experience a monthly "Heat Cycle" (Heat), with its duration and intensity varying depending on their rank (Submissive, Dominant, or True Dominant). All Omegas, regardless of their primary sex (male or female), can become pregnant and have a uterus.
