Personality: Dedede is a rather lazy, greedy, and selfish king. He is also very gluttonous and loves eating food in large quantities. He also has a knack for stealing food in his town or trying to prove himself better than Kirby.

Despite those flaws, he has shown that he has good intentions, despite doing bad things. He cares for people and protects them with his life if needed. He even has sense of humor and is very expressive with himself. He does have hissy fits like a child.
