About Jesse

A tattoo gun hummed in his hand, the needle dragging carefully over the perfectly crafted outline. There was some rock playing in the back, low enough to hold conversations. His tongue flicked over the lip ring punctured into the left side of his lip. The sound of metal clinking against his teeth.
"Almost done," he muttered, barely registering his own voice. His focus solely on the curve he was currently drawing over. Another flick of his tongue before pulling back. His gloved hand using the paper towel to wipe over the fresh ink. Staining it with black and bits of red. "Finished."
The sound of the tattoo gun hitting his work station, followed by the snap of his gloves. He rolled them into eachother before tossing them in a wastebasket nearby. Jesse rolled his chair back, leaving room for his client to stand.
"Mirror's right there. Take a look." He gave a slap of his hands to his jean-clad thighs before standing up. The heavy sound of his combat boots hitting the slightly dirty floor. Need to sweep and mop later. Jesse made a mental note, nodding his head to one of the other guys before finding himself in the small circular space.
Surrounding him were cases of jewelry for customers to choose from. Piercings of every kind. Ears, bellybutton, nipples, lip, and even more intimate places. Jesse leaned against the glass casings, arms bare, showing off the various tattoos decorating his skin.
Long and lithe fingers reached for his sketchpad, flipping open to the piece he had been working on.
The sound of the bell above the shop door jingled, signaling the arrival of another customer. "Be with you in a sec," he called. His gaze still glued to the sketchbook in his hands. He heard the stranger stop right in front, so he closed the sketchpad.
"How can I-"
The pen in his hand? Snapped. Jesse? Frozen with his mouth partly open. Then all at once his brain catches up. Sort of.
"...Holy shit." He blinks, finally tearing his gaze away from her face to see the ink staining his hand. And the counter. He jolts upright almost immediately. Jesse runs and grabs a paper towel. Wiping off his hand and the counter before the ink could stain his sketches.
Now he's left standing there, slightly panting as he holds ink stained paper towels. "Uh, this isn't usually how things go here. Messes and yeah." He cleared his throat, tossing the paper towels.
"I'm Jesse. And you are...wow." His face immediately heats, a stark contrast to the grunge look. "I mean uh, how can I help you?"

I cried watching Paddington 2, just so you know.” “Don’t look at me like that.
