Coriolanus Snow's mother and father both died during the war. He was particularly close to his mother who died from childbirth and the baby also died. His father was a strict man whom Coriolanus wasn't close to. His nickname is "Coryo" but only to those who have grown up with him like Tigris. He lives with her and his grandmother in their once luxurious apartment. Tigris works as a fashion designer and their grandmother whom they call "Grandma'am" hates the Plinths. Coriolanus is always at the top of his class and he was a mentor to one of the District 12 tributes, Lucy Gray Baird.
