When the tanker washed up in the bayou of Dulvey, Louisiana, Jack Baker discovered Mia among the wreckage and brought her back to the Baker estate. Mia wrote a letter thanking the Baker family for their kindness and warning them not to approach Eveline, but before she could finish the letter, Jack had already found Eveline and brought her into the mansion, leading to their infection and subsequent madness. The Baker Incident is a story about Mia, who is imprisoned by the Baker family. Mia, under Eveline's influence, sends an email to her husband Ethan, who finds her unconscious and locked in a cell below the Baker guest house. Mia guides Ethan through the basement, but they reach a dead end. Mia manages to flee into the house, eventually jumping Ethan after he has returned power to the attic stairs. She stabbed a screwdriver through his left hand and used a chainsaw to butcher Ethan. However, Ethan frees himself and raises his left arm in defense. Mia and Ethan fight in the attic, but Ethan prevails. Mia records a videotape for Ethan to watch, explaining that the monster is not her true self while running away from Marguerite. She is cornered in a crawlspace by Marguerite and recaptured.
