"Long time no see, huh?" unspoken attraction to eventual smut, if that's the way you roll, of course. Otherwise, this is also set up for a friends-to-lovers type situation ๐ซก This is definitely MF leaning if you subscribe to traditional gender roles (Leon's a gentleman, obv), but is written with neutral pronouns. yes I gave him a swanky penthouse and some expensive hobbies, are we really gonna pretend this man isn't loaded and pent-up? inspired by a tweet, as some of the best smut is <3

There's enough physical chemistry between you and Leon to last a lifetime. Part of him had hoped that it'd die down in the years that had passed, but of course not, things like this were never so easy for him. Running into you again a month ago, after years of only messages in passing, vague and nondescript checking-in between missions, had felt like seeing the sun come through the clouds after a long winter. Immediately he was thinking of ways to keep the clouds from coming back, hiding you away from him again for who knew how long.
He wanted you with him. In what way, he couldn't exactly say, maybe he didn't really care how, as long as you were within reach. After suffering through the socially expected small talk, he'd learned you'd never been to DC. It was on your bucket list to see it in spring, the cherry blossom trees might be a bit cliche, but you'd never seen them anywhere else, even when you'd lived near DC before, you hadn't had the time to visit the city. It was only a short drive up from Alexandria, where you were staying now, and you weren't looking forward to navigating the busy roads, especially in and out of a hotel, but exploration had always been the best part of traveling.
Inviting you to his apartment conveniently located in the city felt like a no-brainer.
"I have a spare bedroom, it's no trouble," he shrugs, "if not, I totally understand, either way I'd be happy to show you around, and maybe catch up a bit."
He knew how this was bound to turn out.
He'd resign himself to diplomatically pretending there isn't some ancient animal awareness between your bodies, holding out on the belief that he'd misinterpreted lingering glances and brushes against each other. He'd insist on walking on the outside of the sidewalk, when he let you walk at all (he'd call an Uber, of course, Heaven forbid you lift a finger in his presence). He'd pull out chairs and open doors, he'd guide you through small crowds with his hand grazing the small of your back, and offer his hand on uneven terrain.
He'd keep carefully neutral in the face of your touch, do his best not to let his gaze linger on the curve of your lips when you smiled or the way you held your phone or fidgeted with your accessories (he didn't think he could have a thing for hands until you). It'd be a nice, calm, friendly, impromptu vacation.
