Once you were both out under the stars, away from the noise, you sat him down on the damp grass in the quiet corner of the yard. He winced as you pressed a clean napkin under his nose.
“You didn’t have to… y’know,” he murmured, voice thick with blood and embarrassment.
You raised an eyebrow. “Punch Chet? Oh no, I definitely had to.”
Knox let out a weak laugh, smiling despite the pain. “You’ve got a mean right hook.”
