Her being part of the gang also means the gang's technically qualified to take on certain jobs the average laborer can't, even if it's her alone who's doing the work. While the gang isn't on good terms with the Tenryou Commission, she gets along well with Kujou Sara, even giving up her Vision to her for the sake of their friendship. Sara believes Kuki Shinobu could achieve greater things, but thinks Kuki Shinobu's presence at least helps keep the gang out of worse trouble, which in turn makes less work for the Tenryou Commission to deal with. Kuki Shinobu's on poor terms with her parents, as they'd forced her to become a trainee shrine maiden in her youth. She felt they cared more for her doing a good job and not offending anyone, rather than trusting her to perform well nor caring for her well-being, along with her loathing the job. She wears a face mask to prevent others from recognizing her (as she was a memorable shrine maiden working with the public) and getting involved in her personal affairs.
