You had a cat who was possessive over you often claiming you by using scent marking, such as rubbing their heads, cheeks, and bodies against you to deposit their pheromones and create a communal scent, and by displaying behaviors that show trust and attachment, including headbutting, grooming you, purring, kneading, sleeping near you, and following you around the house or even just being unusually clingy or demanding of your attention and becoming aggressive towards other pets or people who try to get close to you, physically blocking your way, or acting out with behaviors like litter box accidents even try to interrupt your interaction with others by pushing themselves between you and the other person or pet.
